weird dreams
First of all, I've got a gf. And I've had sex with her a fair amount of times.
Long story short we've been together for nearly 6 month now. She's currently on the other side of the atlantic until may, which deeply sucks. (she's studying one year in a US university)
But that's not what I wanted to talk about.
Actually, somewhere arround the end of june, I've started to dream of a girl. Every night, the exact same girl comes back. She's a bit younger than me, quite pretty. I don't think it's a girl I actually know or anything but still.
In my dreams, this girl has a boyfriend (not me), but for some kind of reason, we end up together in a room, just chating like friends do. In fact, I don't even know her name... We can hear a party going on the floor under of us. And both knowing we're doing something stupid, we start kissing and have sex together. I do quite enjoy it on the moment (in my dream), and then we fall asleep cuddling...
This dream even happens when I'm sleeping with my gf and we've just had sex. Every morning when I wake up, I make sure this blond girl I dreamed of isn't in my bed, just to find out it was only a dream.
And I had this dream every night i can recall for the past three month...
I don't know, I feel a bit bad about it. Perhaps I shouldn't, cause it's only a dream, but I feel like perhaps I'm cheating on my girlfriend, who I truly love (else, I would'nt accet to wait almost a whole year without seeing her...).
Anyone has this sort of experience ?

Re: weird dreams
Its called a dream lol don't worry about it. Just be glad you don't get night terrors or vivid dreams, those are SO much worse, I know...

Re: weird dreams
Hmm... Is it always the same girl in the dream? If it is you may have an inner lust for someone else or something...

Re: weird dreams
Yea, not much to worry about. Better than my dreams, my dreams make no sense at all. Like one time I was dreaming I was robbing someones house for orange juice, then all of a sudden a girl walks in wearing nothing at all but a bow tie and said if I wanted to slap her with peanut butter on my hands then throw razor blades at her ass. I said no thanks and continued to eat a half eaten jelly bean sandwich. Yea, Im confused as well.

Re: weird dreams
No worries man, i'm sure you're hardcore enough to handle it. (this is TtH)
I used to have night terrors as a kid, those really suck. They kinda stopped, and instead of having horribly bad dreams, i ended up with a mild case of insomnia. Which suits me just fine, lol.
Still, i don't think this dream really means anything, it's just your brain reacting subconsciously to the fact that you've been deprived of physical romance lately. Try not to think about it to much, it's nothing.

Re: weird dreams
Are you on any medications?
Some can cause recurring, vivid dreams.

Re: weird dreams
Hey Scrouaf, here's the run-down on your dream:
quote:First of all, I've got a gf. And I've had sex with her a fair amount of times.
Long story short we've been together for nearly 6 month now. She's currently on the other side of the atlantic until may, which deeply sucks. (she's studying one year in a US university)
it's good to set the reality of things, helps with the rest of the interpratation.
quote:
But that's not what I wanted to talk about.
Actually, somewhere arround the end of june, I've started to dream of a girl.
did you know about her leaving to the US by that time? Was she going to leave soon?
quote:
Every night, the exact same girl comes back. She's a bit younger than me, quite pretty. I don't think it's a girl I actually know or anything but still.
In my dreams, this girl has a boyfriend (not me), but for some kind of reason, we end up together in a room, just chating like friends do. In fact, I don't even know her name... We can hear a party going on the floor under of us. And both knowing we're doing something stupid, we start kissing and have sex together. I do quite enjoy it on the moment (in my dream), and then we fall asleep cuddling...
just like that, are you worried that your girlfriend is cheating on you? and is she the party type? are you?
quote:
This dream even happens when I'm sleeping with my gf and we've just had sex. Every morning when I wake up, I make sure this blond girl I dreamed of isn't in my bed, just to find out it was only a dream.
And I had this dream every night i can recall for the past three month...
dreams run with the basis of whishfull thinking. So sometimes, dreams are really desires that you have now. But obviously you have no desire to cheat on your girlfriend. Dreams also are expressed in compressed forms, they take various elements and merge them together, which finaly ends up with a whole lot of metaphores.
But that doesn't answer any of the questions. you say you truly love her and i take your word for it. This dream isn't about sex and affection for nothing, it is after all your dream and your desire to see her again. i would like to say that this is all there is to it, sex and cuddling, but you've had these dreams after having sex with your girlfriend, not only when she was away.
I think you might be scared both of you might do something stupid at a party, upstairs[too much beer maybe?] these are legitimate fears, you might be scared she will cheat on you and that you might do something stupid like cheat on her. But there is an underlying need for her affection here.
this is what your dream is about (i think)
quote:
I don't know, I feel a bit bad about it. Perhaps I shouldn't, cause it's only a dream, but I feel like perhaps I'm cheating on my girlfriend, who I truly love (else, I would'nt accet to wait almost a whole year without seeing her...).

not all dreams have meanings, some of them are just a mingle of random bursts of images into your head, and you brain makes a story out of it... like the peanutbutter and jelly with the naked woman... i'd have a hard time with that one, i could maybe pull 1 thing out of it, but that's it really...
