Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?

If I'm at a friends house, I'll take a shit if I need to. I've never had to shit or piss at a girls house though, thank god.

Kind of awkward at a girl's house, but when its your best friend, you should stink up the joint as best you can.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
And what about if it's a girl in question? Should she avoid shitting at your house?
Do you expect her to wait a few days til she goes home? I personally don't care if someone comes to my place, and announces they need to shit.
Oh dammit, I forgot. Girls NEVER take a shit.

If you're at a girl's house, don't take more than five minutes, and PLEASE make sure the toilet flushes it all down. Nothing worse than finding little bits leftover.

Just take the dump, make sure there are no traces of evidence (skids, nuggets, etc) flush, open the window, light a match if it is really bad the smell, and move on with your lives.

Leave the door open while inside.
Make sure to strip down completely.
Announce to everyone there what you're doing.
Take a novel, portable TV, and Ipod in with you.
That's how real men do it.
EDIT: Almost forgot, don't flush... take pictures to share later first.

I won't go at my boyfriends house, even if I really have to. Partially due to his crappy sound-proofing, and partially because his bathroom is super icky and I hate going in there.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
I don't take shits in other people's houses. It's as simple as that. Once I went on an exchange trip and didn't take a crap the whole 10 days I was there. (I don't use public toilets either.) It was okay though because I only really shit about a third as often as the average person. When I do shit though, it fucking stinks and in recent years I don't think I've ever taken a shit without causing at least a minor blockage. That's right, a plunger is just as vital as toilet paper in my house.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
What you do is very simple:
Make sure you hold it in until your about to burst.
When you get to the bathroom, let it out real quick, and flush immediately after you release.
This is called the courtesy flush. It will remove most of the funk.
Finish up, light a match and immediately blow it out.
Voila, no stench.

If it isn't a chick, then DESTROY that fucking bathroom. If it is a chick you goddamn hold it unless its an emergency.
I one time left a large shit at my friends house while he was on vacation. He made the mistake of letting me know where his hide-a-key was, so i taught him a lesson by destroying his toilet the first day he was gone and texting him a picture so he knew what to expect when he got home.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
Hehe, once I went to Canada with a few of my friends and one brought his girl. We got all wasted, drove back and I stayed at my friend's house with the girl because it was closest to my house. Just as I was falling asleep I heard a whole bunch of commotion and yelling coming from the bedroom, then she stormed outside.
I was laying on the living room couch, half-drunk wondering what the hell just happened. My friend wanders out from his bedroom and says "That bitch stunk up my whole bathroom. So I kicked her out."
...then we smoked a bowl.

Huh?? I don't understand why this should be a big deal.
Isn't there usually a switch right next to the light switch, and when you turn it on, it turns on the bathroom fan to suck out the air?

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
My girl and I have no false modesty about bodily functions at all. Even when we started going together there was no false modesty about our bodies.
Both of us will leave the bathroom door open when using the toilet but she does warn me that it could be deadly at times.
She is a trained nurse and as she says "nursing is all about blood and shit".
Although I must admit I generally use public loos only in an emergency. Much more comfortable sitting on your own throne,

Haha, my boyfriend always feels the need to announce that he's going "to take a crunch". Then he'll go around the room and take things to do while he's on the toilet. Usually it's a sudoku (sp??) book and all the materials needed to roll a joint...lol!
When I'm at other people's houses, I'll poo, but I'll try and be quick so that they just think I've gone pee...Mwhahahaha!

I'm a ton less shy about pissing.
Grr, I'm off to stay with some people for a week on friday (possibly longer) I'm probably going to eat a minimum of food so I don't need to as much.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
The worst thing is when you go to a girls house for the first time and your trying to give her parents a good impression of you and your looking around the bathroom while you pissing and the toilet see falls down on your balls.
- It makes a loud band
- It makes you swear loudly
- It hurts like hell
- Piss goes everywhere
- A bad impression is created

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
I hate using the bathroom anywhere besides my house. I hate going to the bathroom at school, I hate going to the bathroom at other peoples houses. Even when I'm at a family members house.
Normally (this goes for both school and otherwise) I try to find the least used bathroom. IE: Basement one, (or at school bathrooms on the 3rd floor).
The ultimate saving grace is when they have a really loud exhaust fan.
There's nothing more embarrassing when there's no fan and you get a few ploppers when you're shittin down.
Even worse is when you're pissing and it feels like it's taking forever, and you can just immagine people hearing and being like "jesus that guy pisses like a fucking race horse."

I poo in other people's toilet's. But I only read in my own... This thread, however, has inspired me to be myself in all aspects of life. So as of this moment I will ALWAYS take entertainment to the toilet with me, no matter who's toilet it may be. I usually take a good 20 mins on the toilet if it's a number 2. Savour the experience people. This thread is the best ever.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
It depends. Im a guy who has lived through some bad shit, like a friend coming over, taking a shit and leaving a total mess . Thats why when I shit, I clean up as best I can, and try to do it as quickly as the shit can go. And I also have that wierd long-piss fear, like it takes minutes and hours to finish up or after a few beers it really takes over a minute of constant pissing.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
I was cracking up at some of these responses.
At a friends house it's not a big deal to say I'm going to unload, but a new girl I wouldn't just say 'SHIT BREAK!' and go. My girlfriend and I got over it after we moved in together, so it's really a non-issue now.
I can't stand shitting at other people's houses though or in public restrooms. Awful. It's like I can't go if I'm not perfectly comfortable.
Also, I take my guitar, Nintendo DS, PSP, or a book for entertainment.

Living in a dorm makes it easy to shit just about anywhere. No need to hide any noise or anything. Eventually it just becomes a contest between two or three anonymous people in different stalls.
Since getting to school I'm eating far more veggies, salads, and healthier foods. For some reason I'm shitting like 2-3 times a day. When I gotta go, I gotta go. I don't give a damn where.

Up until a month ago I could only shit at my own house.... now I can shit at my Dad's house if I'm staying there for a long time but when I go away on holiday or anything I just don't shit.... I think the longest I've ever been was like 2 weeks. I would never ever shit at a prospective partners house or in a public loo.

At a guys house, I only take a shit when I need to.
But at a girl's house (girlfriend) I NEVER take a shit. EVER. Only piss. I've had really bad times where I felt like I was going to explode while at a girl's house.
This reminds me of that time when my girlfriend and I went on a trip somewhere and stayed at a motel. I held my shit for FOUR days. =(

Although I do shit at my friends' houses. I love the expressions on their faces when I leave the door open and the stench spreads through the house creating chaos and confusion! muahaha!
I hate pissing at people houses though because when I piss, I piss loud and for a good couple of minutes and its always awkward when I can hear people talking and they say "wow, he sure can pee!"

I shit once or twice a day. Either in the dorms or classroom buildings... because I have to shit.
How can people not shit for weeks at a time? For some reason I find it hard to believe.
Canada fly fishing trip. I was convinced I could make it 4 days without using that vile, unholy outhouse. I did, but I ended up in the woods having to shit my brains out. I bit the bullet, popped a squat leaning on a tree, took a crap, and cleaned up with birch bark.

I usually go about 3-4 days without taking a shit, I simply don't need to before then. Longest was about 2 or 2.5 weeks, I think, that kinda sucked, though I found that even a restaurant toilet will clog with the right motivation.

Although this trend seems to be steadily decreasing, people USED to keep plungers/similar devices by their toilets to help prevent such a calamity. I guess plumbing has improved, but all the finely crafted porcelain in the world can't stop skidmarks.
I find it funny when my skidmarks make a spiral because of the flushing .

What the fuck? Is this even an issue? If you need to shit, shit. If you're at someones house I'm sure they'd rather you go have a crap than sit there with poo pains.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
If you plug it up, tell the Mom or dad, not the girl. Most of the time they will have some sort of sympathy or w/e and help you out.
I shit only every 2-3 days normally, have gone 2 weeks at summer camp without shitting, and only pissed 3 times in 2 weeks!
Yes, I have a major bowel disease now, and I have had several doctors, including 2 female, shove their fingers into my anus, and inspect my anus for rash/chaffing.
Was it worth it in retrospect? Yes. The girls at that camp were gorgeous, and being 15 and insecure, I would have killed myself had I been caught shitting or something.

I hope the doctors were fat and had fingers the size of a genoa salami

I don't take shits in other people's houses. It's as simple as that. Once I went on an exchange trip and didn't take a crap the whole 10 days I was there. (I don't use public toilets either.) It was okay though because I only really shit about a third as often as the average person. When I do shit though, it fucking stinks and in recent years I don't think I've ever taken a shit without causing at least a minor blockage. That's right, a plunger is just as vital as toilet paper in my house.
lol! i only feel the need to take a dump every few days as well but you gotta make your self if the toilet gets plugged! your gonna get majorly constipated.

Last time I took a shit at someone's house, I eventually got with her on that same night.
I encourage you to shit whenever you feel the need to.

You would recommend reaching a toilet first though, eh?

I've never shat at someone else's house... Well, apart from my best friends, where I felt comfortable. I get really uneasy when I shit.
Pissing is a different matter, I'll piss on anything, anywhere. I did it on a frog once and it jumped into the water and died.

A toilet is made for shitting. You know it, I know it, and that other person knows it.
If they aren't adult enough to accept it, then I wouldn't be hanging out with them.
EDiT: And yeah, plungers are good especially after a 8.4 on the Richter scale.

This reminds me of that time when my girlfriend and I went on a trip somewhere and stayed at a motel. I held my shit for FOUR days. =(
What kind of relationship is that? You think she doesn't shit, or doesn't know you shit? What about if/when you move in with her? And if you don't care about her and are just using her for sex, it doesn't matter what she thinks...

I'd rather be a little embarrassed for a perfect natural bodily function that everyone does and no one (except the people in this thread, apparently) really cares about than have a major bowel disease.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
One time I was over at my friend's camp along the lake, and the had this trailer thing where you can go to get changed or whatever. And, lmao, I almost took a shit in the toilet that was in there. I was so close before I realized that it didn't have any plumbing.
Whenever my friend comes over to my house, she announces she has to take a shit (I do it to her, too, ha ha) and leaves the door open. Granted, usually she's drunk, but she does it while sober, too, ha ha.
And jeez, I never knew so many people cared so much, I thought it was just us women who were anal about shitting at other people's houses. I won't wait until I explode just so I can shit at home, I'll try and hold it but go if I need to.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
One time my freind was over and went to take a shit in my house. 15 minutes later I hear, "Hey man, ummmm, you better come here..."
The toilet had overflowed and there was shit everywhere. It leaked through the floor into the basement. My dad had to clean the bathroom while the kid watched and apologized for an entire hour.
Looking back on it, it was fucking hilarious.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
Oh. My. Fucking. God. I have NEVER laughed as much as I did when I was reading through this thread. I've been sitting here for 15 minutes, laughing my ass off. There was one time, I nearly fell off the chair laughing so hard. When am at a relatives house, I don't shit, but at a friends house, I don't mind.
The one that made me laugh the most was the guy who's friend took a shit and the toilet overflowed and leaked into the basement.

Is anyboy here saying that 'long-kept-in shits' don't get harder & harder? Thus much more likely to plug toilets & stink?

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
I was at my old School one day, and went to the stalls, and lo and behold, someone had taken a shit on the FLOOR. I stood there looking at in in silence, then went and found my friends to share.

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
WOW- This is one of the best threads I've ever read; And I've read a few...
My views on shitting:
-I take my sweet fucking time when I shit- 20 minutes, 30 minutes, however the fuck long I feel.
I think people all have some kind of bodily activity that they do when they need to think- more than a couple of my friends take showers for 2-3 hours when they need to think... I do my thinking when I shit, and it's great.
-Shitting can only be done at people's houses that you are VERY familiar with. I find it very rude when people I don't really know come over, and within the first 10 minutes, go drop a huge load. My dealer in college did that...EVERY time. He would come over, and without fail, would say "yo dude whats up can I use ur bathroom?". Then there's the squelching shit noises that turn my stomach.
-Shitting at a girls house is like getting shot behind enemy lines. You've got to deal with the problem, but you stand almost a 100% chance of getting caught. Only serious skills of stealth will save you from being discovered, much like in war.
-In all truth, I really only feel comfortable shitting in my own house, and most of the time, I have to strip naked to do it. (Habit from when I was a kid.. I don't even know what started it..) I can go in a public bathroom, but it's a risky affair...

Re: Etiquette on shitting at someone's house?
all my friend does is take shits at my house. I dont know why!! He doesnt even shit at home.
When i was with my ex girlfriend we lived together. It took her like 4 months to shit at my house. I would have to drive her to the local market for her to shit. Finally she started to shit. So did I . When girls are at me house and its an emrgency I go to another room and shit and turn on the faucet.

She made you drive her to another bathroom? Why? Is there something wrong with your bathroom? I don't get it.
