Default Giving out a details on a card

Okay well the idea of this came to me after making a mess out of what could have been a perfect opportunity to meet someone on the weekend just past.

Anyhow we both had to leave in a bit of a hurry so no time to exchange phone numbers.

For work I have a business card which has my details on it. I was thinking I could write my mobile number on the back and have them on me in case such a situation arrises again (hopefully it won't need to and me and this girl will cross paths again real soon).

So what do you think? Good idea or bad? Girls if someone gave you a pofessional card like that what would you think/how would you be?

I've got a business card holder so I think it would look pretty suave, maybe too show off-ish though.

Business cards are fine as long as you can personally be nice enough a guy to carry it off.

Also depends how old you are, 17yr olds with business cards just look like wankers you know?

I think it could seem a little pretentious.

Exactly.

I would call this a bad idea. Because the only reason you should be giving people your business card is because (hence the name) you have a business, or in a business which position requires these cards. Otherwise, don't bother.

Makes you look like you're a stuck up tart. Don't do it. My female friends laugh at guys who give business cards.

I'm 20 and I have my own business cards for work. I wouldn't make up something just for myself.

How very victorian of you, 'Ma'am, the gentleman has sent in his card.' At least it's not some mysterious name & no. written on some torn fragment.

'Show the gentleman in, Bessie. Then bring tea...High Tea & the High Times! The current issue, mind!'

'Yes'm.'

It seems sleazy as all hell to be preparing details to give to women.

Only use business cards if you're a business class guy.

No one gives a shit what the bitches you hang out with think.

I would say bad idea, for you to meet someone and just whip out a fucking business card makes you seem not spontaneous.

However there are girls who like guys that aren't spontaneous, so maybe that is the girl you are looking for, if it is, use business cards. Just don't write your phone number on the back, it should be on the card.

Exactly why I wouldn't do it, unless I already had the cards for a business I already had or worked for.

My work contact details are on it. I have to scribble down my private mobile on it or else they can only get me when I'm at work.

Xiao - I work in the Environmental field. It's not my own business.

Having your number pre-written on it looks bad.

Giving your business card and giving out your cell number after she calls your business line is a good idea.
