Her birthday is tomorrow, and I planned on giving her a green ipod nano. She's allways wanted one... Well anyways I didn't pay anything for it(she doesn't know that :P) so its kind of a five finger discount but anyways I told my friend what I was gona give her and he said im nuts. I don't know if I should give her it, but I don't really have a choice I have till 5:30PM tomorrow and its 1:30AM

No, theres definitely a sound argument for not giving it to her that goes beyond being selfish and keeping it for himself.

High-ticket gifts are a little risky to be giving too early in a relationship. It can seem a little overbearing, it can set a high standard for her to come to expect, and it can seem like you're trying to buy her affection. (It doesnt really matter that you didnt pay for it)

If you've only been going out for a month, I'd suggest something smaller and more romantic. But if you're in a serious relationship, maybe a year or more, then it can be a really sweet gift.

I advise buying her a present that you can share with her. If she likes music dont get an iPod get tickets for a gig. Or you could just take her out for something to eat like normal men? :S
