ok this is wierd (longish).
so yesterday afternoon i was talking to my friend's girlfriend on msn, nothing out of the ordinary there. she asked me round her place, again, nothing unusual cause i thought she was inviting me to hang out with her and her boyfriend (my friend, lets call him joe).
so i got round to hers, and she was in a right state. her parents were on holiday, and shed just found out that one of her relatives had died. she came in close to me and i hugged her, and spent the rest of the afternoon listening to her and comforting her. when i asked her why she didnt call joe instead, she said that she felt more comfortable expressing her emotions to me.
has anything like this ever happened to anyone else, and if so, what did you do?

Makes sense - she might not want to say anything to Joe because she thinks she'll come across as a whiney bitch or she fancies you.
Failing that you might just be a nice guy.

I get stuff like that all the time people seem to think i'm a good listener. I've been told all sorts of shit from suicide attempts to rape people just seem to trust me with the information. Just take it as a compliment.

Re: ok this is wierd (longish).
i've got a friend that calls me up to talk instead of her boyfriend. then again, her boyfriend gets really freaked out if she gets too emotional (past problems) whereas i trust that she wont do anything in terms of self-harm.
