Okay, I don't know anything about penises, I mean literally, I don't. I heard you can get diseases from not being circumsised... I'm confused.

That's what they say. The validity of that assumption has been questioned time and time again. I'm not sure if an actual consensus has been reached, though.

Anyway, the idea behind it is that the skin on the underside of the foreskin is more permeable than the outside skin or the skin of the glans (head). So if a non-circumcised person has intercourse with someone with AIDS/Hep/what-have-you, and the pathogen gets under the foreskin, it has a better chance of crossing through the skin on the underside of the foreskin. So, logic goes, if you remove the foreskin, you remove the weakest point of entry, and it's harder for the pathogen to get in.

so how can you tell if they're circumsised or not?

The point was I really didn't know what a non circumsised penis looked like, and for some oddly strange reason they didn't have them on google. So I knew totse would know. Then, when I found out, they looked gross.
