Default Overreacting?

In the last two and a half weeks I got laid off my job, my pet died, I found out I was pregnant, got in a fist fight with my kid sister in a taqueria, miscarried, and now two days ago my kid sister OD'd and blamed it all on me so the cops came and told me I can't live in my house anymore because it's unsafe for my sister.

So, okay. I've officially been FUCKED. Not to mention that she didn't actually take enough drugs to kill herself. Just enough to fuck me over, because I had this bottle of vicodin and this bottle of phentermine. I take a half of one vicodin every friday night to help me get to sleep so I could wake up early on Saturday and take the half of phentermine to get me through the day. She took all these, so I have nothing now and it wasn't even enough to kill herself.

Now, if you were going to kill yourself by ODing on drugs, wouldn't you research how much it would take to kill yourself? And then as soon as she took them she told our mother so ontop of wasting the drugs my mother had to take her to the goddamned ER and spend $900 for her to drink a cup of charcoal. Which is retarded because we have charcoal here in the house...

What's worse is that my sister told the cops that I've been maliciously driving her to commit suicide so I've had to leave the house. I've had to leave my family and all of my possessions because princess Grace can't hack it. Now she's dropped out of school and my mother is blaming it all on me.

So I went to work at the bar with my boyfriend on Saturday night (after working from 6am to 4pm in the salon) and I stayed at his apartment as usual that night. Now, the thing is is that he's an artist and he has this big art show he's preparing for on Halloween and he's been working his ass off trying to get all the work done and he made it very clear that if I stayed I would be in the way, so I didn't press the fact that I wanted to stay even though I've been severely karma fucked and the cops have kicked me out of my home...

So, when I left his place Sunday afternoon I called my exboyfriend and friend and asked him to see a movie. Instead we ended up just going to a bar and getting loaded. Nothing happened, but I did tell my boyfriend where I was and he was pissed at first by I just said

"Well, I wanted to hang out with you but I didn't want to be in the way."

And he says "I'm just teasing. I'm not pissed. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Which I know he didn't mean. I know he was pissed. He just didn't want me to come over...

So, like I'm thinking, what the fuck? I'm severely screwed and I know that he's busy and all, but I could really use like - you know - a boyfriend or something right now to come through. I mean, seriously, if your girlfriend was in my situation wouldn't you let her stay with you for a couple of days, even if you were really busy? Can't he see how much FUCK I'm under?

I'm really thinking of leaving him. Not maliciously and not like to punish him, but literally just because if he can't handle me needing him right now, then what the fuck is he good for to me? We hardly spend any time together except for Saturday nights and Sundays which we typically just spend in bed and the one time I really need him he can't even rise to the occasion? What the hell is that about?

Am I overreacting?

Cheers,

Lost

No, I think you're actually being extremely reasonable. I won't tell you what to do, that's your decision, but considering all that's happened to you lately, you're actually remarkably in control.

Don't times like that just make you wish you could just leave, and start over 5 time zones away?

I know it does for me.

Hey...I know what it's like to want family so bad that you got to pretend you've got one. You already knew your sister was a dangerous madwoman? Though I guess teen craziness may be hard to distinguish from the genuine Madness?

Still? I don't think I'm the only one who thought that fistfight would lead that Evil Little Demon Queen to extract Revenge on you? You left yourself open. No?

Did you expect she would play fair in the taking of vengance? Why exactly? Did you think she secretly respected you & was just jealous or wha'?

More...I really can't say, as your tiny shoes, fit, I can not.

LC, don't get down. From what I've read from your posts over the time you've been on totse, you're an extremely strong and capable individual. You'll make it through to the end; this, you and I both know. You've got no reason to worry - it's going to be hard, but you know that worrying doesn't help.

Many places in this world are filled with judgmental twats, but there are always havens of kind people looking to help those down on their luck. Just be open to where life guides you and you'll find your way.

Your life sounds like a really cheesy daytime drama, where the camera uses a filter that makes every thing look like it's covered in a fine layer of fuzz.

Didn't your husband cheat on you?

You're still with him, right?

So you obviously believe in second chances.

Have a talk to him, let him know what's bothering you. Like, be very upfront.

He and I were already married...And I don't really believe in divorce. Even if he and I split up, we would still be married, so that "forever" clause in the marraige vows is a definite incentive to work things out!

And her boyfriend sounds like he just doesn't really care about her.*shrugs*

I like you.

You know, I've been married before and though I will say I got married too young I would never say it was a mistake because when I said "I do" I mean it. I was in love and I really meant it forever. And to this day, though we're divorced and he's remarried and I hated him, I still love him, and him ten years if his children ever need a place to stay I will still be here for him. Because when I said "Until death do we part..." I meant it.

Cheers,

You were 17 the first time you got married too, right? Everyone said I was too young...And maybe I was, but that didn't change that we were in love and NEEDED to be together.

I'm sorry your boyfriend is being so assholish. A lot of guys are just so selfish...In my experiences, especially the artists. Does he even know that you were pregnant?!

1. Get a restraining order on you sister.

2. Dump your boyfriend and hang out with your friends.

3. Get a new job even if it donesn't pay much - just as long as it isn't too stressful.

4. Explain to you mother exactly what you think.

5. Rethink it from there.

Failing that put curry powder in your sisters underware and move state/province/country/continent/in with another totse user.

You sister pisses me off, reminds me of my brother a little bit but he's not as bad as your sister sounds, sometimes I just want to smash his face off concrete until it implodes.

As for the original content of the post: No, you're not over-reacting. If you can't count on the one who loves you when you're homeless, who can you count on?

You're not overreacting, and even though you've been through a lot recently, you seem to be vicimizing yourself. Maybe he's scared to be more supportive, because of how you've kissed other guys in the past? He might not think you're totally devoted to him... but he doesn't seem like the type of guy you should devote yourself to. It might be best to just leave him.

Your sister sounds like a typical emo bitch, but she's your sister. Talk things out with her. And what ever happened with her friend who had way too much DXM/weed/alcohol?

Yea. I told him when I miscarried and it was really wierd, because he laid this trip on me like he was annoyed that I hadn't told him right away. And I was like "I didn't want you to freak out." and then he says

"I just wish you felt like you could talk to me about stuff like that." But, then when I do talk to him about serious situations he tells me he's too fucken busy! So what am I supposed to think?

Who the fuck knows... She "mysteriously" stopped talking to my sister. They don't like each other now.

You know, my sister wonders why she doesn't have any fucken friends...

You reacted alot better then i would and did.(My brother pulled some similar shit, without the suicide, so i broke a few ribs). Restraining order, file a petition in court to get your shit and move on. Tell your family to go fuck themselves.

I find it odd that no-one ever questions the validity of your posts. I find it hard that one person can have that much soap-opera esque drama in their life.

Every two or so weeks there's some crisis you need to blog about.

Women are lying evil manipulative bitches. I guarantee you this is how he is looking at it "Well shes under all this stress and suddenly the real LostCause begins to show.. hooks up with an ex and gets off her face."

If he needed space its nice of you to respect that, but i guarantee you he didn't think you were going to go get busy with some jacked up ex as an escape.

You have no frame of reference. My exboyfriend and I were friends long before we ever hooked up and we've remained friends still. And I didn't get hammered with him at a bar. We went to a bar and had a couple of drinks and hung out, and I spent the majority of the time in the bathroom engaged in a text message back and forth with my boyfriend. It wasn't like I was like "O, he can't pay attention to me I'l go fuck my ex." That would never happen. I don't believe in cheating anyways, and he knows that. Which is why I'm still friends with all my ex's. And he lives near my boyfriend, so it was convenient to hang out with him after leaving my boyfriends apartment.

Edit: Also, he and I just had a really long talk on the phone and he claims that I was much more vague about the situation than I'm letting on. Which is entirely possible. I have a tendancy to be vague. What happened was that as soon as I began to tell him he immediately changed the subject to that he's going to be really busy preparing for his art show for the next two weeks, so I didn't press it. Anyways, I'm going to his place tomorrow to stay for a few days.

Just long enough to show my sister that I will, in fact, gladly leave.

Cheers,

Lost
