Default A word on Pickup Artists and the Seduction Community

I'm sure lots of you guys have read or watched material on picking up women or seduction. Well, it's all well, but please, don't form your life around it.

Look at this picture: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h129/puapics/mystery03.jpg

Some of you may recognize them. The two in the middle go by the names Mystery (black leather) and Style (oversized ugly outfit).

Now, for those of you in the know, Mystery is "peacocking". Wearing outlandish clothing to stand out and be interesting just by his clothes. But uh, anyone else would just think this is plain ridiculous. I'm sure they get girls but dressing like a male hooker is just something that my dignity will never allow me to do.

And look at all of the guys in that picture as a whole. They're all trying to be "alpha", meaning they are the center of attention from the rest of the guys. Each has a facial expression that is trying to be cool, and when you put them together, you get 5 guys that wrap their lives around the idea of getting a woman on demand.

Their material is great, don't get me wrong. RSD, Venusian Arts, DYD, The Blueprint, The Game, Mystery Method... etc. These guys write essential material towards learning what they do, and they truly spend a great amount of time practicing and reforming it.

But do not strive to become them. Only strive to have the same capabilities as them. For the sake of your own dignity.

PUA's are all fake, living fake lives. I've been through the phase, and I personally hate it. And on top of it being too fake for me, I am honestly not that interested in scoring with as many chicks as I can. I just like to have genuine fun, I HATE playing mind games etc., once again - fake.

I don't care WHO you could seduce. I'm NOT dressing like that.

Their self improvement stuff is brilliant and was what I needed to start the required changes in my life; its pretty common advice most of it but that's where I found it. I'm not too sure about much else of their information though.

I agree, their inner game stuff is most valuble.

I did my inner game, and body language. I think that's all you need to be sucessful with women.

I do realize that not everyone here uses Pickup/Seduction material. That's why the topic clearly states what I'm talking about, so that those uninterested need not click.

Personally i like their stuff.

It may be aimed at seduction, but in my opinion it covers more than just meeting women.

The methods mystery and style teach are not 'ten shithot tips to wow the babes' kind of advice, but more if you work on becoming a more rounded, confident person, youll find every part of your life gets better and you attract women as almost a side effect.

QFT.

At first impression one would think PickUp was just for perverted dudes wanting to bust a nut everyday of the week. but it's more than that, the focus is really have something going for you -- don't obsess on women, stress on what you want to do... have a life! then the bitches would flock.
