Default Those three dreaded words...

So, I told my candygirl (honey honey ref) 'I love you'...because I do. She responded she feels really strongly for me, but she's not sure if that's exactly how she feels. So, whatever...good 'nuff for me, my friends. It's a whole lot better than saying it and hearing a 'that's nice'.

There was a void inside of infinite proportions. Faith filled up 99.9% of the void. But what was left was still enough to crush my heart. Well, totse, I tell you this; she topped me off.

The only time 'I love you' is acceptable, is from the deathbed.

It's gotten so fucking out of hand.

My girl(ex-ish) says it to me all the time. For her birthday, I'm getting her a copy of 'The Sorrows of Young Werther'. It's a fairly good read, and it'll give you a new perspective on the word 'love'.

I would feel so screwed if she didn't say I love you back. Glad you handle it pretty well considering.

Eh, expectations are the nails in a coffin so far as I see it - I strive for acceptance instead.

No, I strive for acceptance FOR the girl that I love.

Edit: To better explain - expecting something from her leads to disappointments and further problems if she doesn't meet my expectations for her, so rather than hoping she's who I want her to be...I just let her be who she is and accept and love her anyways.

"I love you"? Is that all? There's worse things she can say.

Which three words do you dread more...

1 - "I love you"

2 - "I'm a man"

3 - "I have herpes"

4) None of the above...if she said she loved me, cool, I feel the same way. She's a man? Oh well, I love her, not her vagina. She has herpes? Oh well...all the more reason to stay together, lol.

Too many people are using the word "love" too much, when they really don't know what love is.

Like those teenyboppers in Middle School that will say they love their boyfriend after going out with them for 1 week. Sure, it can happen, but what's the chances? Slim and none.

Don't get me wrong; it's great you feel like that about someone but I just think those words have been killed.

Nah. Petrarch had set the standard 500 years before. That's why Shakespeare's awesome, he makes fun of Petrarch all the time.
