"Kinder und Narren.."
Is a German (our home language) saying which translates roughly as 'out of the mouths of children and idiots'.
Anyways
I got home at about 17:00, had been into the town here to pick up yet another new monitor for the eldest (the third this week!), to find a detective sitting in the living room interviewing my sons as possible witnesses in a rape case.
At the end of the interview the peeler turns to my eldest and says 'you went out with this girl earlier in the year? Was there...you know...any sexual relationship?'
My eldest replies 'Nope, i just fingered her' !
*weeps for the english education system*

It's a London thing. 'Peelers' from Robert Peel, him who started the first police force in London.

Most of us do. Your cultural imperialism has had that result.

No. Just no no no no no!!
I imagine the house of jackketch being quite abbatoir like. SO police inside would be bad.

Re: "Kinder und Narren.."
Actually the police/CID are welcome and oft vistors to our house.
I'm on first name terms with a lot of them (went to school with a couple of them even).
