Emergency Contraceptive (EC) and it's side effects?
I wont go into detail about the whole situation, but my boyfriend and I were worried I got pregnnt. I got the pills yesterday, just in time. I took one pill at 7:30 last night, and the other 12 hours later. I took the second one at around 8 this morning, and it is now 2pm. I feel really funny. Lethargic, shortness of breath, slight dizzyness, and just bleh. My stomache feels soooooo..... weird. The hormone in the EC was Levonorgestrel. Is this normal? The doctor at Planned Parenthood said that as long as I eat a normal portioned meal before I take the pill, it wont make me sick. Now, I did that, and I didn't experience any nausea or vomiting. Anyone with experience with EC, please help.

The morning after pill made me feel totally sick for like 2 days. What you're feeling is completely normal.

I don't think you're ready for sex. Don't do it again, I'm warning you.

Did the doctor tell you that if you ate a meal beforehand, it wouldn't make you sick, or it probably wouldn't make you sick? Remember, as we both know very well, there are no absolutes in human medical care/treatment.

Re: Emergency Contraceptive (EC) and it's side effects?
Lazy kids these days don't think ahead. It would have been so much easier to just use a Doritos bag as a contraceptive instead of your fancy pills.

It would. Especially the leftover Doritos dust. I don't wanna sting my peehole. ^_^

I agree you will be fine. Just give it a day and a half. The same think happened to a girlfriend of mine a few years back.

Just an update, she seems to be feeling a bit better. We think she just needed to get some more rest. Thank you for your help, guys (and gal).
