Me and my girlfriend were having this discussion, she has these two friends(they're married) she thinks the wife's a nympho, but how do you know when too much sex is too much sex? Is there even such thing?

The term "nymphomaniac" is nolonger used clinically for just that reason - there isn't really a set amount that is "too much sex".

BUT it's worthwhile to note that when it was recognised in those terms, a nymphomaniac was characterised by having sex compulsively and without taking pleasure in the act.

It's never really been about someone who just liked fucking.

Also, an addiction is an addiction. if they can't go too long without sex. either they'e hiding from a lack of emotional connection (which will have painful results down the road) or... they're just excited.

It's been said before, but I'll reiterate. Nympho is synonymous with female sex addict, which is analagous to alcoholic or druggie. No pleasure is derived from the act, just avoidance of pain. It's compulsion, addiction.
