Welcome to the club. I also lost a year-long relationship just two days before our anniversary. Happened just a couple weeks ago. Doesn't help much, I know, but you'll get over it eventually. Just try to do things to get your mind off of it.

Life is fluid. It moves on and changes all the time. You're unhappy now, but in time you'll be happy again. Probably happier than you were before. Life lasts a long time and there are many events yet to come that will both delight and intrigue you.

I always do the alcoholic wreck for a month or so, then I shag a couple of women and forget about relationships till the next one hits me.

I told my girlfriend of two years we should take a break. Calm down man. Other fish in the sea.

Masturbate, listen to Relient K/Jason Mraz/something happy, run a couple of miles, and/or eat something gigantic. Those seem to help when I'm depressed.

Keep yourself busy, with friends, away from anything that reminds you of them...about 4 months ago I got out of a 3 year realtionship, it feels like the end of the world, but trust me..it passes. just try not to focus all your attention on the breakup...its hard..I know
