Because women, like yourself, see these ridiculous standards they can never live up to, but they try anyways. They spend millions of dollars on diet pills, gym memberships, surgery and all the frills of weight loss. People who own cosmetic companies, clothing chains, cosmetic surgery practices... their businesses all thrive on insecure women trying to live up to unrealistic standards. And that's why the media perpetuates the 'perfect woman' with no cellulite, big, perky breasts and long, slim legs. They make a shitload of money.

Ok but really i had an ex who was probably "too skinny" by many standerds, but was (and still is) absolutely gorgeous. And there are some girls who are "chunky bitches" who can be model hot. It all depends on how they carry themselves, and what other attributes they have. Beautiful eyes are more important than being alittle skinny or a little chunky in my book.

There are two main factors responsible for the skinny girl trend:

1) Gay fashion designers.

The argument goes like this:

- The majority of elite fashion designers are male.

- The majority of male fashion designers are gay.

- The majority of gay fashion designers have a predeliction for young boys.

Girls can be skinny and still look normal/good. It goes the same way as "chunky" girls. There are many different body types and girls can look good in just about all of them.

I think females just need to accept the way their bodies are. Of course, this will never happen, but it's a nice notion. If you're genetically predisposed to being super skinny, fine.
