Default Style, or what it means to you.

I have recently aquired a job, where I require some sort of style, and social skills aka Dealing with people.

Its weird, since I have been taking pictures of weddings again, I feel a lot more confident going up to cute girls, getting their picture and actualy holding some sort of intiligent convosations. Last night I was at the cafe, And I actualy talked to women, and one actualy came out of her way to talk to me.

I have been dressing a lot nicer when I go out, even to the cafe. Polo shirts, Gap, Old Navy pants. A sweater, jackets occasionaly. And it really helps.

At the same time I have issues with my self esteem. Not really like I am self-conceious about my body but, "why the fuck are you talking to me?"

I have gotten numbers too, like voluntary. They give them to me, and tell me to call.

Is it my clothes, my new kinda attitude, or what?

The strange thing is I am not really looking for a relationship. I mean if a girl told me that she wanted to be exclusive thats awesome. But it seems like to me its not even about sex.

Nice one man. Dressing nice makes you look more approachable, becuase women are so in tune with clothing usually, they mostly think that you have had advice of other girls how to dress.

And a guy who has female friends is attractive.

Too me style is our personal energy or vibe we give off.

yea, but before I gathered up some sort of style, Girls still liked me but it wasn't like they would approach me. And it was just cause they wanted to fuck, Now I don't want that. And I notice a lot more girls, even walking down the street, and they notice me.

EX: I was walking down the street and saw this cute girl smoking, I planed ahead to ask. I mean Hell, I was out of cigarettes.

She was with her father. And when I asked BOTH of them smiled big * I think they had been talking about me cause I saw them looking at me as I was walking twards them* . And then her father offered me a cigarette. I was like alright, and we started talking. I got her phone number in FRONT of her dad, and then we shook hands * me and her father* and walked away.

Motha fucka please, we all know you are one dumb bitch, and you trying to sit here and tell us "I'm really not looking for sex, but if a girl wants to put out I'm going to fuck that pussy till dawn."

The only problem being you are a complete tool, and I think you're a bastard.

So please stop making these "pat myself on the back" threads. You faggot.

It has nothing to do with how you're dressed. It's that you're not *looking* for a girl.

Your problem before was that you were a bit cocky, and you were looking. Each of those are bad, but together they give off a huge vibe of insecurity.

Like was said above, style if the vibe ya give off. If you have the right personality, you can make shit stains look good. (a bit exagerrated, but you get the point, no?)

I feel more confident if I'm in battered up clothes. I'm more comfortable.

If I'm all dressed up nice, I just feel self-conscious. Like an idiot for making such an effort. Or like people will laugh and say "Hey, look, she made a big effort to look good. BUT GUESS WHAT! Didn't work."

Maybe it's different for guys, I don't know.

Vanity is better known as pride though, which has nothing to do with personal appearance, but rather personal obsession - terminal importance and terminal uniqueness, so to speak; it's manifest commonly in personal appearances and other minor areas, but for the extreme cases it is common in almost every last thread of life, it's the root of depression and the various personality disorders that stem from it; bipolarity, narcissism, borderline, multiple personalities, schizophrenia, etc.

As opposed to an immortal sin?

I think we should try and break the ten commandments, and commits all seven of the deadly sins!

That's, what, seventeen lifetimes of hell?

At least I'll never need to buy a coat, again.

Yeah, people definatly treat you differently when you dress nice. I also feel a lot more confident when I know that I look good. Just never pay full price for that shit lol, I wear pretty much all polo and lacoste and spend less then most people do for no-name shit from target.

Yes you are a tool, I am going to flame you. You are sad and pathetic and reek of all the things that need to be involved in a mass murder.

Do you honestly believe that you saying "I've changed", "I used to be like that" is going to make anyone believe you? I'm not as gullable as the rest of these beoches in this thread, but I think you are a complete asshole.

Always will be, and are just trying to be as manipulative as always. The only problem is you have to have some type of intelligence to try and convince others to believe your lies.

Which you don't have....so keep your insights to your pink journal sitting under your bed.

Wait, so its the fact that I am not looking?

So, I am not looking and that means girls notice? or I notice them more? Hrm, that sounds kinda off to me.

Honestly, I feel more self-assured when I'm dressed poorly. When a higher balance is placed on my personality. I've never enjoyed being judged on appearance.

Please dont refer to style as old navy ever again. Gap ill let you get away with, but not old navy.

And remember shoes. They set off any outfit. And make sure your outfit matches for christ sake. And sweaters are debatable.

No, it's just that when you're not going out of your way to look for something, it finds you.

I'm not looking for boys right now, but they're everywhere. I had two guys offer to buy me things today, and I just got a call from a guy who asked me on a date. This has never happened to me before, but it's also the first time I honestly don't want anything.

I don't think some one has style unless they're a pioneer.

That's right.

Mind you, I do tend to judge people on their shoes. But that's only because I have a special place in my soul reserved exclusively for the hatred of trainers.
