So I decided to shave my crotch the night before yesterday (I'm a guy by the way).

I started by going with the grain, I thought I read somewhere on here to do that, but I'm a lazy fuck (Probably the cause of alot of my problems) So I shaved the rest against the grain (about 90%) which was faster.

That was all fine and dandy that night but in the morning I was in alot of pain. I have such bad razor burn it isn't funny. My whole groin area looks like a giant red bump. Fucking itches like hell. Feels like glass to.

So I came to ask you Totse, what should I do to make it feel better now? and how should I prevent this in the future because I like it alot more shaved then not. The whole "It looks bigger" thing isn't a joke, it really does look alot different.

Shave with the grain, using as few strokes as possible. Don't use anything that'll irritate the skin when you shave, but rather use some shaving gel that lathers really well. Don't irritate your skin by touching it, and don't let anything rub against it.

Since you already fucked that up, just don't touch that area for a few days, and it should clear up. It'll be hell for 3 or 4 days though

Alright, I was pretty sure I was supposed to shave with the grain. I used some really nice shaving gel but shaving agains't the grain I'm sure kinda cancled that out.

I've been through hell for two days so i hope it won't be too much longer.

Oh and how should I stop my pants from rubbing against it? or should I just deal with it?

Go ask at a lotion place, they have lotions that will work for that. Enjoy looking like a 10 year old boy.

Euda, I don't really care how old I look, I like how it looks this way and my girlfriend likes how it looks so I'm good. Except for this pain...

Thanks for the tip about the lotion, I was thinking about taking a trip to my mall, they have a big ass lotion store down there.

Wax next time, it doesnt hurt once you get used to it and when it grows back it doesnt itch.

for now i would say maybe try some cocoa butter oil formula with vitamin e. Whatever you do DONT SCRATCH IT.

What kind've razor do you use. If its a cheapass razor then no wonder, my venus (yeah um, they are better then mach 3 for down there) razor has never got me in any trouble.

hahaha...thats weird. all or most of totse's shave stories have to do with a lot of pain. i shave my "crotch" (im a guy) with nothing but water and it all goes fine. idk man, just put some soothing lotion on or some alcohol. good stuff.

Haha, after reading all of these stories on Totse when I finally did shave my balls I used one of those Super-HyperOmega Quad-Titanium Elite whatever the fuck blades that I stole and used plenty of shaving cream. It wasn't irritated at all.

Also, to the OP, if you are white you should learn how to kick ass and start wearing kilts, and if anyone makes fun of your Scottish heritage you can kick their ass.

I have the kicking ass and kilt wearing down, I just need to ditch my Canadian/British heritage and get a Scottish one.

I think next time I'm gonna use alot more shaving cream. Oh and how did all of you shave your balls?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

Nair works wonders. Although some people seem to be against it, I've -never- had a problem. It's definitely worth trying once.

baby oil or something of the like will work, though I wonder whether you want to use an oil or not. Just put something on it to keep the skin soft...

I've been putting on some polysoprin with vitamin E in it and it seems to be helping. Though I think I should get something else, that has a lot more in it.

I DID trim it. Then I decided to shave it because I was already so far.

Lotion, and from now on just trim it.

Razor burn fucking sucks. It sucks a BIG FAT ASSHOLE. Wear loose clothes for a few days, sweats or gym shorts. Then follow the proper proceedure for shaving next time. An electric razor also helps to some extent, but i never really used one until after i had been doing it for a while, so i dont know if it is a good idea for starting, but after you've done it a few times it isnt as bad.

Lotion well, and i believe they actually make some stuff that is designed with the intention of preventing/helping razor burn. Look at your local pharmacy/right-aid/grocery store and they should have it.

Any OTC hydrocortizone cream will work (cortate, lanacane, aveeno anti itch)It will take down any inflammation and swelling. You could also try something with lidocaine in it (Polysporin Complete) will work to sooth and numb the area as well...Hopefully this will help

The first time you should definatly just trim, not clean shave to get your skin used to it.

Against the grain is tough, just wait till it starts growing back in,

Somehow it's common sense to me to use shaving cream, and follow up with aftershave/lotion? Don't see why not. :\

I am SICK of these idiots constantly saying to shave with/against the grain. Going with it won't take off any hair and going against it will result in this.

You need to shave across the grain.

neet or nair shave creme and a razorless blade to gently shave off the hair after about 4 minutes. shave in all directions for smoothest effect, and rinse with gel soap afterweartds. pat dry then cornstarch lightly. smooth as a baby's ass

So, basically you are supposed to shave like this:

\ \ \ \ - razor going down

\\\\\\\ - hair

and not like this:

/ / / / - razor going up

\\\\\\\ - hair

Cause I go downwards first and then go upwards to get the little ones left over. I sometimes go sideways too.
