Some people have said they're getting redirected to ad sites when they're trying to browse. I've never got it. My Firefox is packed to the gills with anti-ad programs, one of 'em must be doing their job properly.

I agree with charging for membership. While that may go against the totse "everyone is equal, rich, poor, upside down, orange or inside-out, we accept all!" it's truthfully much better than page re-directs.

Other websites that deal with heavy traffic (Maddox) have NO ads. He pays out of his pocket, and probably makes up the difference with shirt/book sales now, but back when he was first becoming popular he had nothing begging his visitors for money.

I didn't hear about the shirt thing here, but would have bought one just to help support the site. If funds are low (they always are), webmasters should have the decency to LET US KNOW that they're going to start throwing annoying ads at us. Since it's totse, you think they could even ASK US what we think about it, and if we don't want the ads, maybe some other possible ideas for additional revenue.

It's funny that totse claims itself to be, in a nutshell, freedom, when we're now having ads FORCED upon us. Not banner ads, those aren't bad. Not pop-ups, those can be blocked by any idiot now. Site re-directs. When I tell my browser to load the totse forums, I don't want my browser to output a full-size ad about some shit that has nothing to do with totse.
