Default Well, what the hell is this?

Two things.

First, how do I get people to stop bringing up things about my ex? I'm trying to push him out of my mind, at least until he clears things up for me, but people keep saying things. It's not like they talk about him long enough for me to even say "hey I don't want to talk about this." They either mention it or, in one case, keep saying the same thing over and over through myspace messages. Which is very annoying.

Second, I saw a friend for the first time in a long time last night. This was the first time I'd seen him in person since he told me he'd had a thing for me over the summer. He acted really excited to see me, gave me a huge hug, and we made vague plans to hang out later... Not even plans, I guess. We talked a little bit, then he went to talk to his friends. The whole time we talked though, he was standing really close and I just got this sort of vibe from him... I dunno how to explain it.

Then I went upstairs, where some of my other friends were sitting. He was there too, so I talked to him a little bit and then to my other friends. I went downstairs to sit with other people, and when I was going to leave I went to ask him if he wanted to do something afterward, but he wasn't there. His friend said he'd left, but I should call him. So I did, and he didn't answer. I sort of shrugged it off, but a few hours later I remembered that I had something that was somewhat important to tell him, so I called again, but no answer, and I didn't get a call back. At that point I wouldn't have been up for hanging out anyway, as I was almost in tears from a terrible headache and I'd just eaten pizza, which didn't help.

But why leave without even saying anything, when he usually does? And why no answer/call back? Is this one of those stupid things that I stress way too much over?

First: get a t-shirt with "Don't mention the fucking ex!" printed on it.

Failing that punch them - or ask them not to.

Second: you talked to him, then your friends, then went downstairs - us men are stupid and he proberly thought you were ignoring him and thats why he didn't say goodbye or answer his phone. Either that or he had some sort of emergency.

If ringing him doesn't work then txt him, if that doesn't work get someone who knows him to ask him why he isn't talking to you.

Hmm... he came downstairs for a few minutes after I went downstairs, and I may have seemed a little bored or something, because I was started to get a headache and I knew it was going to get worse.

I'd have texted him, but at that point I just didn't want to hang out, I wasn't feeling well.

I left him a message on facebook that said "Hey, you owe me an adventure. We have to hang out before you go back to school, you know, for like more than five minutes at the hookah bar." (The adventure part meaning we talked vaguely of venturing to a park or something)

It was proberly the bored/not interested bit because us men are stewpid and dumb when it comes to women we like, us nice men anyway.

(Me, nice, ha!)

Just be patient and make sure you seem happy and excited to see (or talk on msn, or whatever) him again when you do and smile lots. He'll get the picture.

Also, if it seems appropriate, say that you had a headache and that's why you wern't very talkative.

I could see why he'd think I was bored/uninterested, but I called him later... And I'm all about being patient and stuff, but I don't see him very often, as he's a couple hours away at school.

And, I'm not sure if I'm even interested in that way. More curious, but unsure of what I want to do.

Prehapse you could visit him? Though it's a bit of effort if your not sure.

Just try and make sure you see him again before he goes back to school and try and make it just you and him - that way there arn't going to be any 'attention misunderstandings' from accidentally ignoring him, you can fully concentrate on figuring out what you want him for and you will be able to talk to him about it without anyone else interupting.

(Switching off your mobile phone helps - I just ignore txts when Im with my girlfriend)

If he's currently visiting the area where you live, then prehapse you could go and see him?

Well, I'm going to go to his school anyway, it's just that my mom owns my car, and doesn't want me to take it that far as it might not make it.

Sooo I dunno. I'll probably see him tonight, and see how things go.

The train prehapse? But that won't matter if you see him later.

Good luck.
