Default Are you insecure?

Well, are you?

I am a little bit, but I believe that it is a healthy amount.

Yep. I'm pretty damn insecure. I'm not gonna lie. And paranoid to boot.

I'm very secure in my life, but I haven't always been. People started telling me about all the things I had going for me and it just went away. Everyone seems to have something going for them that is great, but it takes someone elses recognition of it to confirm it. People who are insecure, are often those who had nobody to compliment them on their positive traits that make them great. The trick is to not let it go to your head when they point it out too much.

I really do not know what insecure means! Does it mean not being sure about yourself? Or does it mean that you need to have someone motivate you or comfort you at every step in your life? If that's what it means, then no. I live my own life, I am happy when I see others progress and no I don't need the "pep talk" to keep my life going. Actually, it has been years since I heard a word of encouragement from anybody. To be honest it doesn't even matter, I accomplish things that I want to anyways. Umm did that answer the OP's question?

Not really.

I mean, I guess technically, a little bit. I still sort of look for other peoples' approval, but I'm trying to fix that. Lately I've been much, much more secure, although last night I had a little relapse and got all upset.

Me too. Although I have pretty much stopped abusing uppers, so my paranoia has been at bay.

I'm pretty much as insecure as it gets, but sometimes I can hide it.

My ex who broke up with me just a few days ago already has all these new pictures on facebook with this coke dealer that she dumped me for, so my confidence is really down today, but tonight when I go out I'm going to hide it and hopefully something positive will happen.

I'm horribly, terribly insecure. If people start looking at me in public I wonder why and start thinking something is wrong with me. I also find it hard to hold eye contact with somebody for the entire length of a conversation.

Having said this though, I have a wonderful girlfriend who appears to love me so things aren't too bad.

Nope, none here.

It's really sweet not being insecure.

Hugly insecure. About all kinds of things. The problem is if I fix one thing I'm insecure about I just become insecure about something else.

Like if I think my clothes look bad, I get new ones. Feel good about it for a while, then I move to something else. Start worring about my hair, or body, whatever looking good.

If I was to make a list about everything on my body I disliked and if all those things were corrected I could find something else to dislike.

I really don't like my appearance, I'm shy and I'm not very confident. I suppose it holds me back quite a lot, but I can't see it changing any time soon.

I guess it kinda depends on the situation. I really take insults way way too far and stall on them for long periods of time.

But then again, I really have no problem showing my other more..."gentle" side. Only if I know the person super well though.

Yeah, and it's usually just about the stupid little things...

I can see my nose or my hair when I pass a mirror in a store and I instantly start crtiquing my looks as long as I'm in public. I dunno, it sucks and it drives me nuts sometimes...

I guess I'm also a little insecure about whether people like me or not, but after time I just develop a "fuck it" attitude and don't care anymore.

Default Re: Are you insecure?

To elaborate, I'm insecure to the point of thinking my friends feel pissed at me and have grudges for me for trivial things.

I feel sub-human sometimes.

I sort of gave up trying to meet more people with the eventual possibility of getting a girlfriend and I don't really initiate things with other people.
