got into a very big fight today. Basically, the short story of it all, to save people from reading too much, is that he and I ended up slapping and pushing each other over some misunderstanding.

This is the first time anything like this has ever happened, but I'm wondering if we should be trying to work things out. Or is it always true that once it happens, itll happen again?

If he hit/pushed you then he should probably be curbstomped, and you should never talk the the fucker again.

Not necessarily it depends on who hit who first . it isn't ALWAYS the guys fault they just get the most publicity.

This type of thing is hard to judge, but if he hit you for basically no reason then i agree that you should ditch him ASAP.

Normally, i'm all for working it out, so i guess that you should probably talk to him about it, and at least see how he feels. I can understand his anger getting the better of him, but he sure as hell better be on his knees begging your forgiveness. so i'll advise you (as long as he is as sorry for it as he should be) to talk it over at the very least, but if it ever happens again, then get the hell out of that relationship. people make mistakes, but a mistake like that shouldn't be made in the firstplace, and certainly not forgiven more then once.

Alright, that is of course a biased story, but it's clear what has to happen. it's not a problem of him loosing his temper, it's the fact that he doesn't respect you at all. (like someone already stated). Don't bother giving this a second try, any girl deserves better then this.

Those of you who say its never acceptable to hit a woman, even if she hits you. Have you ever actually been hit at all, let alone by a woman? It can be very hard to control your actions, especially if you are already angry from a heated arguement.
