Default need help reading her better

I'm still pretty depressed about my girlfriend breaking up with me, but recently I met another girl who has caught my interest, so the fact that I could see myself with another girl besides my ex is making the break-up easier to deal with than I thought it would.

I was drinking with this girl the night my girlfriend broke up with me, and out of nowhere she starts crying, saying that she and her boyfriend had been on a break and hadn't talked in over a week. I got talking to her and we had a lot in common, at least with our relationship issues.

However, they still aren't officially broken up.

Since then, we've been eating lunch regularly. Since I broke my foot, she gets my food for me and walks to class with me carrying my books. She randomly stopped down the other night to give me hand towels for my crutches (provides cushion under the arms) and sends me text messages every day making sure I'm going to lunch with her and her friends.

Problem is, I really can't tell if she is just a genuinely nice person, or if she actually might have an interest in me.

My plan is that after she and her boyfriend break up (hopefully soon!), I'll say something to her along these lines: "I know you're not looking to jump into another relationship right now, and I can certainly relate to what you are going through, but if you ever want to talk about anything I'd love to take you out sometime."

Does that sound too friendly or would it get the point across that I am interested in her?

Thanks, additional advice is appreciated as well.

I know it sounds solid, it sounds really solid...but she seems like just a nice person, also, she's really upset about her relationship ending.

I'm supposed to be going to Montreal in a couple weekends with her group of friends, I might wait until after that...I don't want to be turned down and have it be awkward for everyone, or I might just try to make a move on her when I'm drunk and if she turns me down I can just say I was drunk...

I don't know.

I'll see how things go Friday night when I'm drinking with her.

AND

I should also add another thing I am worried about: like I said, she is a genuinely nice person. She goes to church regularly, and all of that stuff.

I, on the other hand, have a little bit of a reputation of being a cokehead, which could definitely screw me over.

I'm just hoping that nobody has told her that I sometimes like to party...I don't think I look like a drug user, the past couple times I've been drinking with her I come straight from work so I'm still in a suit and tie, and I make sure to never mention drugs or anything that could fuck me over.

Maybe I'm just worrying too much.

don't start day dreaming until her and her boyfriend are definitely splitsville. You know how complicated/stupid these tail ends of relationships are, they can drag out for aaages.

Yeah, mine dragged on for nearly 2 months...maybe I can be the reason for her to officially end it?

The guy (from my understanding) treats her like shit anyway.

If she's one of those crazy churchgoers, you might be her new "project." OR she might have a thing for vulnerable bad boys. OR she might just like you. You can't read girls man. No wait. You can't read people at all. One second they'll hug you and kiss you and tell you how much you mean to them, and the next... you're getting drunk with your zen garden.

but still, even if she ends it and comes running to you, do you want some chick who's not over her ex? do you want to be with someone if you're not over your ex?

Maybe this is why we need each other. I think if I gave it a chance I would find that this girl is better than my ex....she's genuinely nice, something my ex was not. She's just as attractive.

The other night when she was drunk, she admitted that she didn't have sex with her current boyfriend until 5 months into the relationship, which means she doesn't just give it up to anybody, while my ex on the other hand had sex with me a few days after knowing me.

This could be positive for me and I think I'd never look back.

She sounds really nice...SO JUST GO FOR IT!!

And the length of time someone waits before having sex in a relationship doesn't necissarily say anything about them as a person. With my first boyfriend I waited 9 months, but with my husband I only waited 2...Because I lived him already.
