Default Girlfriends trust issues..?

*edit* sorry about the giant block paragraph..id love to fix it, but its much too late for any of those games

I was talkin to her online tonight (lame i know, but she couldnt come over ) and we were talkin and she said something about how she had to clear her head. I asked what it was, and she said it was hard for her to say. So i replied with saying that if you get something out in the open its usually alot easier to ask for help with something, etc.. and she just said that she has big trust issues because of things that happened in the past. We've only been going out a few weeks, and i really like her, and i'd like to just hear her out and help her, but she wont tell me a thing. Anyone else like this that would be able to explain what kind of trust issues would lead to that? or..i donno... id just like to know why she can't tell me this...

in short: why do people get these issues with telling close people their problems. She said she can listen to people just fine and solve their problems, but she cant trust anyone to help her with her own/share her feelings deeply.

Its because she has trust issues, that's why she wont tell you yet. Remember she'll tell you pretty much anything when she's comfortable with the relationship. Like you said you have only been going out for a few weeks, so she's not entirely sure if she can trust you yet.

I know, because I'm a lot like her. I find it really hard to trust people. Except with my current girlfriend, only because we've known each other for years and I can genuinely trust her. She's the only person that I have and can fully open up to. Only because she's ensured to me that I can trust her.

So yeah, you just have to be there for her and let her know how much she means to you and that she can trust you. Until then you've just got to be there for her.

I've found that girls like to play the "Trust Issues" card alot.

It's usually because they want you to obsess over their problems until they feel loved.

Ok, I've just never really had anyone else who couldn't open up to people before. Almost everyone im close with is so open with their thoughts and problems its sickening. I told her she can tell me anything, and it wont change what I think of her, and she said that it would still probably be a few months even before she could really open up.

Mainly I just wanted to know that people actually do have issues like this, and it wasnt just some tricky way of saying she hates me or something....
