Well me and this girl are really close friends, really close. Now she just broke up with her boyfriend of about a year and a half, all my friends say she broke up with him for me. I really like her and would love to ask her out, but i dont wana ask too soon. so this is were totse comes in, how long should I wait to ask her and should I just be like "hey wana go out with me?" or ask her to a movie and crap like that?

If you two are already really close you should invite her over to your place for a quiet evening and watch a movie or something, just the two of you. If this isn't possible because of family or something, just do something along the lines of a date that will put you two alone for a while, but do not call it a date. See what happens when you two are alone, what she talks about, etc. If all goes well you two should end up doing the horizontal monster mash.

But Byss is right. this has actually worked for me, with the girl I used to have a crush on (she knew I was very into her). I asked her over to watch a movie with me after school one day. Now, there was obviously an attraction there between us, and about ten minutes into the talented Mr. Ripley we were kissing, and around half an hour to an hour and a half later (time kinda stopped working, lame as that definately does sound) we were naked from the waist up.

I suggest making your move sooner rather than later. You shouldn't give her 'time' unless she asks for it.

movie idea sounds great, ill try it thursday when shes off from work.
