Suddenly, all these guys like me. And that's cool and great and all, but I'm not looking for anything. Honestly, right now, even if Boy asked if I'd like to have another try, I don't think I'd be ready. As much as I'd like to try again with him, I have shit I need to take care of first.

So first, there's a thread about me. We all saw how that went. And it went even better in person.

So then, there's this guy I've been talking to a lot recently. Let's call him C. He's very cool, and very different than my other friends. He's a really deep person. Anyway, suddenly he tells me he likes me, and I tell him "You're really cool and stuff, but I'm really not looking for anything right now." He says he understands, but called me last night and made me say "I don't like you as more than a friend and I'm not attracted to you." He was drunk as hell, and called to apologize, so things are cool now.

Then I met this other kid at the hookah bar. Really cool, and his friends are super cool. But the next night, he bought the hookah and bought me a hot chocolate and had the guy that works there bring it to me. I didn't think much of it, he knew I was having a bad night and was being nice. Then tonight he bought me another one, then sat really close and stuff. He's really cool and stuff, but honestly I'm not attracted to ANYONE right now.

So there are two problems here. First of all, why the FUCK is it that when I'm looking for something, there seems to be a serious lack of the male gender? But when I don't want anything, they're all over the place... wtf mate.

And second, how do I let this kid know I'm not interested in persuing anything with anybody at the moment? I mean, maybe he's just really nice and doesn't like me, then I look like an ass if I say something. I don't want to lead him on, and I don't like when people buy me things... I've tried to say that but I don't want to seem ungrateful and bitchy.

And I know it's not like, a real problem and it's stupid, but I'm frustrated and I just want to know how to let him know I'm not interested without seeming bitchy.

If you really care for him you'll realise that just telling him is worth the risk.

Not telling him especially when he seems to be buying you things is lame.

Sometimes you will have to be cruel to be kind. Try saying it nicely first but never shy away from being horribly blunt with men.

We don't really get hints etc.

To an extent, I feel your pain, firekitty. Except Im not looking for males, and mine just goes in stages even if Ive been lookin' the whole damned time.

Feast or a famine? Yeah, that describes my life. For ages I will be left emotionally crippled by the lack of interest from anyone and everyone I come across, and then when one girl is interested I start getting more interest, until it matters...

Enjoy the attention, please dont be offended but I always felt girls liked these men who they wouldnt go out with because they didnt meet there criteria, but they were good to have because they boosted the girls egos by there nice comments.

Anyway I'd hardly say having two people being into you a bad thing...I'd settle for one

No, really though, if he doesn't have a chance with you just tell him straight. If he flips out, well, was wouldn't have been particulary stable to begin with...

Talk to them about how they feel about relationships and casually point out that you don't want a partner right now (try not to let them realise you talking abou them).

Not very direct an a bit underhand, but if you don't find saying it to their face very easy then its a lot easier for you.
