Sure it happens, but not without awkwardness after.

And who likes being uncomfortable?

As long as you use sexual tension to keep a distance, there's a chance. But that's not really in the spirit of 'friendship'.

If she didn't think you were ugly or goofy lookin, she would have given you signals she wants to fuck before you would have reached "best friend" level.

i agree, i think that saying is just what stand-up comedians use for material

Nowadays, I just use them for practice and insulting. I know I won't be getting any from them, so I use that to my advantage and rag on them to no end... while still maintaining the "friendliness". You'd be amazed at how much you can learn from them when your goal is not to get into their pants or ask them out on a date.

It's not until I actually meet a girl worth dating that I switch to "flirting" mode and change my personality.
