Oh shit, my first S&A thread! Looks like the guys (and gals) here are pretty helpful, so hopefully you can help me too . For some bullshit reason, my principal decided to cancel our dances this year. This being senior year, I don't plan to miss any dances. There's this girl that lives about 20 minutes away and goes to some school away from mine. I'm pretty sure she's into me, and I'm pretty attracted to her as well. Anyway, I'll get to the issue at hand.

Since the dance in question is at her school, I assume that it would be out of place for me to ask her. I don't see her that often, but I will on Sunday(hopefully that's when she'll ask me). We chat online most nights, so what kind of hints can I drop to plant the idea in her mind? I know for sure that at this point she doesn't have a date yet.

For regular school dances, not like prom or homecoming, the schools sometimes dont allow non-students to attend. Your girl may not be sure, and decide not to ask you just because she isnt.

Also, school dances are pretty pathetic as it is. But if you really want to go, just bring it up casually. 'Oh, who are you going with? You dont have a date yet? That seems kind of strange. If I was a student there, i'd so take you.'

It doesnt take much.

If she goes to Edison (I'm assuming she does) then you can go to the dance with her, they allow out of school students. However, I'm not completely sure, so don't quote me.

Just casually ask her what she's doing the night of the dance ("what are you doing saturday?" she'll say "I'm going to the dance"/"I may go to the dance" then ask her if she has a date, she'll respond "no", then ask her from there. Fairly simple, just be chill with the whole situation. You can pull off some smooth shit.
