I don't post threads very often, but I was just wondering about other people's experiences here about this. It seems like relationships and what not come all at once or not at all. Either you're flooded or no one wants you. I'm posting this because I haven't gone out at all since July when I was in Mexico, and now I have 4 dates for this weekend. I don't know why it works like that, but for me this is the usual pattern. No one, or more than I can handle. How does this work for everyone here? Discuss.

I find that when my expectations are completely in line with acceptance, that I am gifted with more than I can handle. Relationships come when you are ready for them, not when you expect yourself to be ready for them.

Yeah, that's why I was worrying about this poor kid

Isolation? Half of that time was during summer when I was working full time. I started college again a month ago, and I've gone to parties and what not, just being single. I've gotten #s and all that, but I haven't "gone out" with anyone. Now I've got more dates than I can handle. I don't know, I just don't worry about it. I prefer being single. I like going out and having a good time and I just don't worry about sex or finding a relationship or whatever.

edit: if any of that was sarcasm, I missed it the first time. The point of this thread was to discuss whether or not people come along in floods all at once after not having anyone.
