Shut down! and it feels so wrong!
Below you is the following conversation, an absolute trainwreck of hormones, teenage love (or so I thought) and confusion
Enjoy.
---------------
Me: Busy? mind if we talk for a second?
Lacey: I'm actually with a freind, what do you need?
*CORNY LINE ALERT*!!! WARNING!
Me: Maybe you could make my year and I could have THE cutest girl in the school give me a chance, and be lucky enough to call her my girlfriend?
Lacey: I don't want you not to like me anymore but like I just got out of a relationship like a week ago and I don't really want to rush into another one. But I do like you very much!
Me: it's alright, it's obvious I blew it right here... but like always you'll end up being an awesome friend. You never wanted to hang out, kinda obvious.
(stfu... I know it was a stab at a guilt trip, I was in a desperate position)
lacey: Oh my gosh dont say that! Jake I like you alot. I just want to wait longer thats all. and you so did not blow it.
Me: can we atleast agree to wait on eachother and not hook up with too many others 'till your "ready"?
Lacey: yup, I promise not to hook up with anybody but u have to promise too
Me: Promise.
end of convo after a few more pleasantries that don't relate.
So, I see it at face value as a indirect "No" and she is just waiting for time to do it's job and me to forget and move on to someone else? idk, advice/interpratation would be great here! thanks.

I sigh at one-itis. She was being nice, most likely. If it were me, I'd move on, but I also wouldn't have gone about it the way you did. Move on and don't waste your time thinking about 1 girl in the total ~3,500,000,000 females that exist.

Hell if I know anything about relationships, but it seemed like you kinda blew it with the 'zomg don't leave me please lol' line.

Hard to say what she's thinking. There's a good chance she panicked and just tried to say the nicest thing possible so you wouldn't feel like a loser. But she could be telling the truth. No way to tell for sure. When she fucks some other dude, you'll know she was just bullshitting you. If she calls you, you'll know there's a little bit of a chance that she wasn't lying.

Re: Shut down! and it feels so wrong!
Stop trying and if she wants you she'll come to you. Do not be clingy. Do not be needy. YOU DO NOT NEED HER. Stop acting as if you did need her. Seriously, that's why you lost. Instead of being casual, flirty, confident, and funny, you were desperate, clingy, and needy. Work on those personality traits. Start now. Keep in mind every day how you would act if you were confident, funny, and casual all the time. This isn't "being a different person." It's about being a social being, and about having enough self-respect that you won't chase pussy all day long. If you're confident of yourself, you wont' be clingy and needy.
I know it sucks, and I offer you sympathy. I've been rejected a lot. I've had average-looking girls turn me down, usually indirectly. Or maybe I just misread them. Who knows? In the end it doesn't really matter much. I always get #s and meet a ton of new people when I go out. One girl.......please......that girl doesn't even have proper grammar. Not worth your time, I assure you!

Re: Shut down! and it feels so wrong!
That's what I'm counting on at this point, either she comes around to an all or nothing decision if she doesn't want this hanging over her head, and I get my guilt free one night stands back, or she just straight bypasses the whole thing and makes a spectacle out of rockin' some guys cock so I hear about it.
Pretty weak... fucking I set myself up for THE hardest kick in the emotional ballsack this time.

Everyone gets that emotional ball kick once in a while. Just let her go. Really, don't think about her anymore. If she wanted you, she would've gone for you right then and there. She doesn't want you, but she doesn't want to sound mean. She probably values your friendship or whatever. Just let her go completely. You'll feel much better.

Re: Shut down! and it feels so wrong!
Uh mate, I don't think you approached this wrong. She says she likes you, and implies that she does want something to happen and gives a good reason for why she doesn't want it to happen right now.
I think your only problem here is your lack of self-confidence. Even if you think you might be screwing up, don't say so. Just see how it unfolds.
Hold your nerve mate. I don't see anything going wrong so far.
