Jelousy - True Life
*writing may be a little off because i'm trying to type and watch at the same time, but i'm trying to make it a little well written.
Well for the first time MTV actually doesn't have it's head up it's ass. Right now i'm watching True Life, and this one is about jelousy. The jelousy seems to be caused by infidelity for both couples.
THe reason i decided to post this is becuase i can relate. I was witha girl for 8 months who cheated on me the first couple months, and al the trust went right out the window. What's really intresting about this show is it captures the exact same thing that i went through.
No couple on this show can have any alone time without their significant other thinking something negative is going on, and i can't blame them. it's only 10 minutes into the show and it's showing the second couple. They've been together for 3 yeras, on and off. the girl cheated on him 1 year into the relationship, and the guy cheated on her "last summer" whatever that means. so they bother have bad trust issues. The boyfriend is going to some club and the girl is continuously calling him trying to find out exactly what he's doing, step by step, but he keeps hanging up on her because 1. she's annoying him and 2. it's loud in the club. In this show, any insignificant small thing that happens, either one of them things the completel worst thing. For instance, if one forgets to say "i love you", or they don't call them back in 5 minutes, but 10 minutes. They also do stupid little immature acts to piss one another off. such as purposely blockng each other on AIM, hanging up on each other, making pointless fights, and basically any little dig they can throw at each other.
another thing i've noticed now 22 minutes into the speical is they always want to hang out with each other. Not necassarily to have fun, but to watch over them and make sure they're not doing anything. TO be honest, i used to do the same thing about a year and a half ago with my ex girl friend.
One more little act they seem to do is ask questons they ate asking like "are you going with any girls/guys" or questoins like that. Howeer they don't say them seriously, but more joke like, however you'd have to be a complete dipshit to not realize that they're serious.
There is a bit more left to the show, but this is enough information that i've felt necassary to write about.
The constant bickering, the lack of trust, the maniacal immature behaviors, the fighting, and the unhappiness. For some reason they beleive they're still in love. The only time they are happy is when they're with each, and when they're not they're assuming the absolute worst poossible thing that coule be happening.
The reason i decided to write about this is becuase i went through exactly the same thing. not too long ago, and it really makes me look back and think how as shitty as MTV may be, they did manage to capture the complete worst side of a relationship. An aspect of a relationship that is a clear read flag that it's time to end things beucas eit will never change. The fighting will never stop, the trust will never come back, and the love is forever gone.
I'm not really asking a question here, just disgussing a topic. It is really weird how i could basically put myself, and my ex girl friend in place of these people a while back. where as now me and my current girl friend are the exact opposite.
it's going on 7 months and it's still new, it's still fun, we still make each other laugh like crazy. we goof around and fool around. we trust each other like no other. the love is uncomparable, and the happiness nothingless than unbelieveible.
So discuss on this topic, i'm sure we can all relate to this at one point in life.
