Immediately.

I broke up with my first boyfriend in January and we saw each other in July, and still email each other occasionally.

It was pretty immediate for me.

depends. 5~7 days usually.

But from now on it will be 0 days.

3 years

MSN: immediatly

Email: immediatly

Phone: immediatly

Texting: still occaisionally

Seeing: Very rarely.

When me and my first broke up. We talked for like a week. THen didnt hear from her in like 5 months. Then we talked like every week then like a 2 months later we never talked again. She called me like 4 months ago and yet again never heard from her again. This is over a period of 3 years

Still with my first love, after almost two years.

My first love and I stopped talking pretty much immediately after we broke up, but a month or so later we started talking again. We're actually best friends now, over two years after we ended the romantic part of our relationship.

I still talk to her and miss her.

Been about four years now.

Still not over her totally though. :'(

didn't talk to them for about six months. then we started going to the same university, and saw each other on the first day. a little awkward. we still don't talk much.

well when my first boyfriend broke up with me it was pretty much as soon as the "trying to work things out" talk was over..or at least for me. he still called and sent me mean text messages and i see him ever ow and then but i guess once its over its over

I don't understand how you could go from loving someone to having absolutely no contact...

well in my case it hurt to much to have contact with her,just seeing her was enough to send me into a depression, it was just easier to not see or have contact with her to avoid all the feelings,its been 8 years and im remarried and love my wife very much,but when i hear about or from the ex it hurts just as bad as it did the day it all ended

I can't either. It's a concept I can't grasp, that's why I suck so badly at breaking up.

I still see her fairly often. We're still good mates, and I may still love her, despite the fact that I broke up with her. It's just the love was no longer sexual, I had no desire to sleep with her anymore. The problem now is that I'm not sleeping with anyone else, which is slowly killing me.

THat was my case... then she moved towns... stayed kinda together for a month, then she completly forgot about me and haven't heard a single word.. that hurt, she dropped me quicker then a fat kid with a salad...

one day we were agreeing we should be friends and talk heaps and stuff, not a word since, she does her very best to ignore me...

I HATE the fact that women think it's fine to keep talking to all their exes...mind you that's my paranoia..no it isn't.

Actually I don't either.

Which is why I regained contact with my first ex after a few months. Now we're friends.

It's funny, because last time we hung out, she was like "Do you feel at all different around me?"

I was just like "No, what kind of question is that?" (trying to maintain my composure, although deep down I kinda did).

Then she was like "Well it is for me. At least I can admit it."

Unfortunately, I have to see my (more recent) ex and her new boyfriend (who used to be my friend) alot, because of mutual friendships involved.

Actually, I still talk to her on a pretty regular basis.

Not seeing her and simultaneously longing for her return took a good six or seven months.

well it was an akward little thing

first we talked everday, then she said talking was depressing for her so we didn't tlak for a few weeks, she IMed me later and wanted to ask if i was ok, we talk for 2 days then none for 3 weeks, i find out she picked up some 20 year old college kid a few days after she broke up with me, so next time i talked to her i told her she was confused as shit and didn't know what she wanted, she agree'd and then got pissed when she learned i was dating a good friend of mine who'd been falling for me for a while. The hilarity grows, she poked and proded to know who it was, then when she founds out (after asking EVERYONE i knew) she gets all pissy, doesn't tlak to me, but keeps looking for updates on my myspace, my gfs myspace/facebook/xanga, lol, EVERYTHING that could be public about our life she's searching through.
