I have this strict rule:

If I'm going on a date to the movies, we're not kissing/fooling around during the movie. I pay to watch the move, not to fool around with the girl. That's what hookers are for.

Do something else. Something more involves, exciting and conversational. I can give you suggestions if you're willing to give up on the cinemas idea.

As long as the movie is but one part of the date, then you'll be fine. The only thing you need to think about consciously is setting. Find a couple of nice settings, and the conversation will flow if it's meant to be.

well this wasnt really the advice I was after, I was talking sort of while were on the date. In the movies or in her car, little things I could do to "get points?"

Well the movie is going to be a frame. So after the movie you could say... And here's MY part of the date.

If she's worth it, go back to your house and cook something together, anything that's physical together is great. That's why movies are such a terrible idea, unless it's a horror.

Take her some place to eat. No distractions, just you and her. Before the movie. Ask her a lot of questions about her interests and stuff. Ask about her more than you talk about yourself. Compliment on a few of the things you like about her as the night progresses.

Then, at the movie, look over at her sometimes. Maybe, if you feel like it, lay your hand on her arm, or grab her hand.

Bring her out to a club/dance. A little alcohol+dancing quickly and easily leads to feeling/grinding and making out which guarantees getting laid afterwards.
