I met this girl who I wanted to be friends with but she loves me. I told her many times that I just want to be her friend but she still insist on geting to know her and going on a date. What should I tell her? I would really like to be her friend..

Hmm...That's a tough one. Have you told her straight up that you only want to be friends, nothing more? Make sure you emphasis that your feelings wont change, or she might think she still has a chance.

I was in love with one of my friends a little while ago, and he totally lead me on. Don't do that to her. I'm happy to report that I'm pretty much over him and we're still friends . I still get the ocassional pang of jealousy if I think about him and his girlfriend, but it's okay.

She hot?

Make sure you let her know clearly that she will never have a chance.

from a girl's perspective, if i liked a guy and he wasn't interested, i'd

a)appreciate him at least going on one date to rule out the possibility of him liking me, and

b) want to have him promptly leave me alone if he thinks that he doesn't like me the way i like him.

trying to be 'friends' when one person feels differently about the situation is near impossible. just give her some space and let her forget about you and move on to a different guy.

Same here.

And NoSkills, its not "near impossible" to have a friendship with someone who wants more. I have managed it and aslong as he's honest with this girl nothing should stop a friendship.

Just make it abundantly clear that you have no intention of going any further in your relations with her than friendship.

If the worst comes to the worst, tell her you're trying to get with someone else or just get with someone else.

It's a tricky situation and there's really no easy answer.
