Ok, so here's the skinny. I met this girl in my gym class, we are both seniors, and it was a very awkward meeting. She came up to me one day in the beginning of the year while I was just chilling, minding my own business and sat next to me on the bleachers and just started talking to me. Of course, I was bamboozled by this, then 5 seconds later I finally said something and continued the converstation. Now this girl is gorgeous, I mean wow...That's why I was kinda stunned about why she would talk to me. I'm not hideous or anything, but nothing I would ever consider dating material to her.

Every day in the beginning of class she approaches me and talks to me, I never approach her first though. She likes to stand real close to me when she talks to me and when I'm looking at her, especially in the eyes, I notice her pupils dilate every time I talk to her and no, it's not in a dark room and I'm pretty sure she isn't on drugs. She has put her hands on me a few times, but nothing I would consider sexual.

Although, she is a very energetic type of girl and is very sympathetic toward other people's feelings although I'm the only guy she talks to in class and the rest are her friends and it's really awkward trying to make conversation with 4 other girls around so I kinda of ignore her when she's with her friends. Is this good or bad? She also is president of our school's NHS (national honor society) club and is pretty popular, but she isn't like the other preppy bitches at my school. She's different.

So is she really into me or is she just being nice?

Do you have other friends in that class? If not, she may just be trying to make you feel better...But if you do, then it sounds like she might be into you. Just ask her to hang out on the weekend and gauge her response. If she's into you she'll say "Yeah! Here's my number". If not she'll make up an excuse.

She just sounds extremely social to me. It sounds like she's exactly like me in the personality sense and reputation, leaving out being beautiful .

She probably does like you a little bit and enjoys flirting with you because you're not all over her like most guys. Girls tend to appriciate guys like that. She wants you because you're unintentionally playing hard to get and she just wants attention from you. Ask her if she'd like to hang out some time when you're talking to her again.

I think she may because if she's anything like me she doesn't necessarily date the "popular" guys just because she is. Ask her out, I'm sure she's just antcipating it.

Well, I do talk with a few other guys I ocassionally make small talk with, but not any good friends.

Also, I did say I might come by her work sometime and she said "Yeah, you should..I work between this time and this time".

I'll say one more thing. Sick_Boy brought up an interesting point. If you don't have anybody you talk to in that class then she may just be trying to creat conversation so you're not left out. I do a lot of that too and guys always end up thinking I like them because I simply speak to them, then again I'm in 8th grade so it's different.

I still think you should go for it regardless of what some of the people in this thread say to you. You'll never know if you don't ask and she probably doesn't have the balls.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's leading you into some kind of joke/trap... feigning interest to draw you out and then publicly humiliate you for ever thinking you actually had a chance with one of the Alpha Girls.

I only say that because it's happened to me on multiple occasions and helped make me into the bitter mysogynist I am today. I could be wrong though. Be polite, but be very aware.

Well, I'm pretty sure she dropped some clues and I just pussied out on em.

For example: We were talking about the movie Crank and she said she really wanted to see it and she intented too over the weekend then come monday she came in saying she still hasn't seen it and she said no one would go with her and she looked kinda bummed and just looked at the floor then up at me waiting for me to answer and all I said was "Damn, that sucks", but the reason I don't think she asked me is because I told her I saw it a few times already.

Note: You should ask her to the movies if it's not too late. That's definately a hint. The worst that can happen is that you'll get turned down. You're man enough to handle rejection, you have to take a risk at some point. I'm almost positive that the results will be good.
