priorities...
Does anyone find that they have to prioritize certain things, like school and health/well being, and sometimes family, over your current love-life or romance?
To explain... I've been really busy with school lately, this is my senior year, I need that last little boost to my GPA and my schedule is also really challenging, I've also been exausted and sick lately (probably from over working for school) and I'm also expiriancing several deaths (or soon to be deaths) in my family right now.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm bitching and complaining, I was just giving a little background.
So I've had all of this stuff to deal with and I also have a girlfriend, I thought school being a priority and fmaily and health were understandable, maybe even implyed, priorities that sometimes take precident over my realationship. Not because I want them to, but because they have to, they are simply a little more iportant at this given point in time.
So, to summerize... does anyone find that they have to prioritize certain things over your current love-life or romance?

Re: priorities...
Yes, but...
I think when you DO have the time to spend with your boyfriend/girlfriend, it's important to let them know you still care about them, even though there are other things that do need to be taken care of first. Even if it's just a quick hug or something. Like, without them having to ask.
Edit: Also, just assume she understands that, and she's not upset about the fact that you don't have that much time. Maybe it's more that you might seem distracted or like you don't care when you are spending time with her.

Exactly. My girlfriend's work load is a bit cumbersome this semester, so she doesn't have as much time for me. Now, I'm no attention whore, but she doesn't exactly show that she cares.
I think that if things don't change, I'm going to leave as soon as something better comes along. I love her a lot but she treats me like shit.

That's a really mean thing to say.
I mean, I understand your situation entirely, but maybe you should talk to her about it... There might be something that's bothering her.

I've talked to her, and talked to her, and talked to her some more. All I do is talk. I know it's mean, and I do feel bad saying it. Nothing ever seems to change though, despite all of my efforts. I'm putting 110% into this relationship and getting no positive results back. She's always too busy for effort and too tired for talking, so no matter how much I discuss things, nothing gets achieved.

Oh, well then that's different.
Maybe sit her down and talk to her... Ask her how she honestly feel about the relationship, and if she wants it to continue tell her that she has to make at least SOME effort or show the smallest bit of interest. If she refuses, or says she will but doesn't back it up... you might want to decide whether or not it's worth your time.
