Default question..

Has anyone here ever been in some sort of relationship but you don't know exaclty what to call the relationship? (sorry if that makes zero sense)

For example, I have been with this guy for a couple months now, but we havent talked about if we are "official" or not. We just sort of go with the flow and act as if we are together. We both know neither or us would go off with someone else, but I would still like to have the security of knowing if he is my boyfriend or not. I know I should just talk to him about it, but I dont want to feel like im pushing the subject on him or something. He doesnt like the term "boyfriend/girlfriend" so maybe thats another reason why I dont feel like bringing it up. I like how things are now, and I dont want to jepordize anything.

Has anyone ever been in a relationship like that? How should I bring it up to him? I dont really want to do it out of the blue...

thanks!

thanks!

Take off your t-shirt and bra infront of him? That usually makes 'it' come up.

oooO000ps...you mean bring up the subject...not his cock?

Hmmm i'd say Lauren's right...JUST FUCKING ASK HIM! Was that clear enough?

Yeah, just get it over with. If you want this guy to be your boyfriend, you should atleast be able to talk about it.

I was in that situation with my boyfriend when we first started seeing each other. We acted like we were together from day one, but didn't talk about it until a month had passed. I just worked up a bit of courage and asked. Here is how our conversation went:

Me: "Hey Kyle, can I ask you a question?"

Kyle: "Sure, go ahead."

Me: "So...Uh...What are we? Are we dating or what?"

Kyle: "Are you my girlfriend?"

Me: "I don't know, that's why I'm asking you!"

Kyle: "Well, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Me: *shy giggle*

Kyle: "I'll take that as a 'yes'!"

There, all you have to do is print that out and use it as a script...lol! Well, it worked for me anyway...

Yeah, I had this same problem with the last chick I was with.

She hated labels. So we decided not to label what we were and just to just remain 'friends' who loved each other, had frequent sex, went out together, etc. At first I was pissed off because I wanted the security of being able to call her my girlfriend.

I only wanted that label so if anything DID ever happen with some one else, I had the right to be annoyed, because it'd be cheating. When there are no labels attached, technically you can't get annoyed if the person does something with some one else. In the end we agreed that we were exclusive, but still not together, then she wanted to be with me (officially) but change it to non exclusiveness. (Haha, she's so fucking stupid...) I ended it shortly afterwards.

Err...yeah, maybe you should just ask him?

Sounds to me like your Kyle is one of those rare men who aren't afraid to express their emotions...

Normally the econversation would go :

Her: Are we dating?

Him: *grunt*

Her: Am i your girlfriend?

Him: *grunt* Can't you see i'm watching the football? Any chips left?

Actually, no, I doubt that ever happens.

Guys are emotional bitches these days, trust me on that. Look at your emo son. Guys in general these days, are much better at expressing them selves emotionally.

The only guys who grunt are cavemen/drunks/downsyndrome.

I'm a fan of knowning for sure, but my brother and his wife never even asked each other out, mentioned boyfriend or girlfriend or anything, not once did they mention anything and now they are happily married...

so i guess it's personal preference, i like the security like you mentioned, you seem to, so why not mention it? then it'll put you to rest worrying about it or anything

Asking a bunch of losers like us ain't gonna solve shit!

Go and ask him straight out "Are we boyfriend and girlfriend?...If not, what would you call it?"

Do it...DOOOOOOOO it!
