Default Help me Totse.

Theres this girl I met at my dorm. And she is perfect, everything I could ever possibly want. And I think she even has a thing for me. Right now we have become friends, because she has a boyfriend. Today she dumped her boyfriend. She had had been with him for about 3 years and they're relationship was long distance for awhile, but the school that we go to is close to her boyfriend. She does claim however she didnt move here for him. Anyways, as I expected, he appologized and she took him back. And all hope I had has been shattered.

Is there any possible hope for me? What can i possibly do now? What if she now loves him more than ever? And I'm being serious, I cant do anything drastic, but i want/need her. So please help me.

She's off the market. Doesn't mean she'll always be, but in the meantime your focus should be elsewhere. I'd go to social gatherings and study, since you're in college.

Listen to Lauren. You need to shift your interest.

Yep, listen to these guys.

1. Get over her

2. Find something else to do with your time. Anything from a sport, hobbie, meeting up and spending time with other friends, getting drunk, anything else (not so much totse.).

I suppose you won't follow any of this advice - which is kind of good in a way because people need to learn these things the 'hard way'.

so overall, there is no hope? she will be so hard to get over, her room is right across from mine. I really hate life right now, i who always expects disappointment is even disappointed. This will be difficult.

OK, I have an idea, and I need opinions. I want to just try to outright ask her out. Of course before i do this ill try to find out if she is now madly in love with her bf or if she just felt bad and took him back. If the latter is true then the first time he fucks up again ill ask her. I really didnt expect them to get back together so soon. I thought I would have had more time, cause i didnt want to be a dick and ask her out right after she broke up. If she says no then ill just ask her if she'll do me the favor of forgetting what i said and not letting it affect our friendship. I'm like on of her best friends right now, so i should have no problem getting her to go somewhere with me, so like if shes having a really good time with me she'll be more inclined to say yes. Ahh i really dont know right now, i probably should just give up, but im sure you can understand that right now i dont feel to do that.

i don't think you should do any "finding out" -- that will turn into obsession and stalking. just flat out ask, tonight or tomorrow. if she says no it's soooo easy, you can chalk it up to her having a boyfriend, and she'll have you in mind for future.

okie, new idea, and thanks everyone for the replies. Okay so earlier i already told her that i knew she would get back together with her bf, i even made a bet on it with a friend of ours. So i think she may ask my opinion on her getting back together. I made it clear earlier that i knew that it always happens and it never works out and she agreed. So what if i be a bit more subtle and if she asks what i think, ill be like "Well you know I think its a stupid idea to get back together, but I guess my opinion is biased b/c i like you."

Under normal circumstances, it's pretty easy to win over girls that already have boyfriends. Seeing as how most guys are insensitive to begin with, all you have to do is treat her better then they do. A few well thought out gestures, and you're in.

3 years is a long fucking time though. You cant just cut out someone thats been in your life that long, even if the relationship wasnt that strong, theres definitely a sense of comfort there. I dont know how you can overcome that...You can wait for the next chance to ask her out, and she may even say yes, but expect her to be torn between you and him, even if you do win her over.

yes, i know if i do make her mine she will still have feelings for him. But i will do whatever i can to be better than him. She has only had 2 b/f, first one cheated on her and the 2nd is the current and they have both cheated on each other. But, her 'cheating' was just making out with another guy. Sigh.. i love her innocence. Anyways, ya its gonna be mission impossible to break her away from him. Like unless hes seeing another girl and she finds out, things arnt lookin good for me.

ask her out as a reality check, ok? i don't want you getting into the realms of deep unrequited love here. and putting the ball in her court (by hinting that you like her) isn't going to help either, since she's taken.
