A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
Ok, For about a year I have been talking to a girl on MSN. Shes spoke about meeting up quite alot and today that happened.
On MSN we will talk about everything and anything. Now it was my idea to meet up this time and we done it.
I was nervous and didnt know how to get to this park so I asked a mate to come, then he could fuck off when I met her. He brought a mate so there was 2 of them. In the end I waited with them but she saw that I had mates and left.
Now I didnt know she saw, but she was about 6 foot behind me at one point and my mates where telling me. But I thought that they where taking the piss - So It appeared I had blanked her.
Also, she said she might take mates then said she wouldn't because how awkward it would be for me.
So I got a text saying "You said it would be awkward if I brought mates, imagine how I feel. If you want to meet me tell them to fuck off because you want to meet Steph. :]"
So I did and walked off and rang her. Then we got back to where we where going to meet and my mind was on other things. She walked up to me and my gut reaction was "She's too good looking to be the girl on MSN. Why would she want to meet me?!" and I just looked away again. Then she said "Well... Hello?", I was so fucking shocked. I thought "Wow, I've blanked her twice now." and then I looked at this girl and one word sprung to mind "Beatiful".
She made a few comments; "No offence, But you sound gay." (Followed by laughter, But my voice changes when I go shy) and "Wow, You're not what I expected." (Shes better then I expected.) these ripped apart any confidence I had built up. Especially the second one.
We hardly spoke although I did try and start some conversations but I got the feeling she was annoyed with me (Well, She'd been there 2 hours and I had brought mates). But her body language looked quite nervous so I didn't really push the conversation.
In the end her mate rang and she had to go, I said "Sorry for everything, We'll have todo this again... but different.". She asked me what way I was walking and I pointed in the other direction and said Goodbye.
When I got away I felt like a pile of shit. This girl was so fucking perfect, but I had fucked it up. I thought "Wow, I can kiss goodbye to her." and I was really tearfull.
I've just got home and shes on MSN again, but she normally shows whats on her mind by her screen name, this time part of its "Im Dying To Explain My Heart To You".
Now heres the problems:
1)I alienated her through mates.
2)Our conversation was piss poor, and it was really awkward.
Now I need to make it up to her. Im thinking about something like a movie then we dont have to talk until afterwards, and the movie will provide a conversation topic.
Basically, I need advice and somewhere to vent this stuff. Im really upset, I didnt expect that.

That's girl-code for "Next time sneak up behind me and initiate surprise buttsecks, to win my heart". Don't be a tool and ask her directly about this or you'll ruin the romance.

I dont feel like phoning her while im feeling like this so that leaves MSN. But I dont know how I am going to start a conversation after today - even on MSN. It seems embarassing, at how badly I messed up.
Shes still on now, but for once we aren't even talking.
Ive given her boyfriend advice before, and stuck by her and offered her advice when she thought she was pregnant. (LONG LONG Story Involving a bastard ex-boyfriend) But I cant even say what I feel to her.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
Well honest advice - if you don't snap out of the attitude you seem to have, you might as well just block her on MSN and delete her phone number.
You seriously are in pussy mode. Why destroy yourself?
Try imagining what your mental attitude would be like if things had been reversed, that you were a knockout and she wasn't very attractive. You can IMAGINE that right? Once you can imagine that scenario, make believe that it's the reality. With practise you'll get good at it, and it's the kind of attitude that will make you pull girls like her. If you're too pussy to try as hard as you can at that, you don't deserve to take a shot at those girls.
Your choice. Self-pity is the most contemptable and self-destructive of attitudes.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
Just relax. When you talk to her picture it just like a conversation on MSN. Hopefully that'll make you less nervous. The thing is, you have a mental perception of what she's like, but that's not really her. You've made your own mental version of her. She's not perfect. She's just a girl. You need to talk to her and not be nervous. Quit thinking you fucked up. Just tell her you were "a little nervous" but that the next time you meet up you'll be more relaxed. Problem solved. DON'T continue with this pussyfied attitude you have. She has an interest in you at least as a friend or she woudlnt bother meeting up. Take it from there, and just be kind to her. It'll work out.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
You're just shy man. The more you see the girl in person the more it will go away, since you are having trouble with it now, try writing down a list of things to casually start talking about, and just try remember as many things from the list as you can so when the silence comes up you can strike conversation. I would suggest taking her to a mall with a theatre or something, and ask if she wants to see a movie. Then before the movie you can go to the food court and grab a bite to eat, and buy her food of course.
If things go well by the end and feel confident to ask her for a kiss, then do it, but if you don't feel the day went well, then just give her a hug.
If you want to talk, my msn is: the_dognapper@hotmail.com

It does in fact sound like you're in pussy mode pal, you really need to cowboy up a little, or she'll lose all proper respect for you.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
This is the first time I've ever actually felt bad for someone from one of their stories posted here. Maybe because I can relate to how you felt at the park, or how you feel now.
Talk to her on MSN, don't just ignore each other. Explain to her what happened, that you felt intimidated/shy/awkward and everything, and that's not how you normally are. Arrange to meet her again, and don't fuck it up. You gotta fix it, man.
Good luck.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
I was just starting to think how I didn't do *too bad* until I went to bed yesterday. And suddenly bits of it all came flooding back - the really bad bits.
It appeared to me she was pissed off, but then I thought sometimes she wasn't. And if it had gone that bad surely I'd know more about it - She doesnt beat around the bush.
God, this is confusing...

Thanks mate, Its a pretty weird feeling. Happy that I've met a awesome girl, but annoyed that it went so bad, and upset that I might've blown it.
I think its taking the easy way out - just ignoring each other. But I've done it before and I will never do it again.
Im gonna do pretty much what you have said.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
To be honest it sounds like you're just too shy. If you hardly said anything of course she will be annoyed, she went out of her way to meet you and you just wasted her time. I think next time you speak to her on MSN explain that you're really shy, and sorry that it didn't work out how she expected. Just be honest about it. If you met up with her again just force yourself to speak, about anything! Just bring up something you where talking about on MSN, and ask a lot of questions. Girls like to talk, you ask questions she'll do the rest of the work. Just flirt, and relax. It's just a girl, you see them everyday, it's no big deal. Also if the chance comes to kiss her, take it! As soon as you can, once the first kiss is out of the way you'll be a lot more comfortable.

Re: A turn up for the books - MSN went reality
Shes on MSN, I might send her this;
quote:Hey, Im so so sorry about what happened yesterday. I was more then a bit worried about meeting you, after-all I wasn't sure about what type of impression I would make on you. Even the "other two" had picked up on my body language (Even down to my "gay voice" :P) thats one reason they stuck by until I told them to fuck off. What can I say? Im a shy guy.
It appears I blanked you at one point, I am so sorry about that. I wouldn't have thought in any of my wildest dreams that you would be Steph, So I thought "Why is this girl just standing there?".
Truth be known, if it wasnt for the "other two" I would've bottled out, Thats if I even got to the park. (I got lost before they helped out) Im normally much more open after I get to know people, and my personality will resemble more or less what you know me as - not the guy just sitting there desperately trying to think of stuff to talk about.
I understand you're probably pissed off with me - you have a right too be, I would be. What with the friends, blanking you and then just closing up like I did. If it isn't to much to ask I would love to meet up again... but in different circumstances. (Im thinking catching a movie, then getting something to eat at Bluewater?)
Opinions?

See...instead of thinking about what you need to say...just say what's on your heart and mind...even if you think it's something she'll look down on; it shows a lot more confidence to actually admit to the emotions running through ya and the thoughts running through ya. Sad? Shy? Any other of the million different states of existence? FUCKING TALK ABOUT IT...topics arise from it.
