Well, guys, here's my dilemma. I'm 16, that about says it. Sixteen is a tough age I guess, but anyway back to the subject. I consider myself pretty good looking and I'm popular with most of the people at my school except for the douchebags. I've got lots of girl friends, but I've never had a "girlfriend." Every time I think I'm gonna get lucky, it turns around and bites me on the ass for reasons I can't even begin to construe. And plus, it's never anything that I do. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. I see all of these fucking football jock assholes gettin' the ladies all the time, and I will not sink as low as to be a chauvanist womanizing lunkhead. Has anyone else experienced this?

If i knew, i'd tell you. I got a crush on a friend of mine and worked my arse off for months to get her, and eventually got her.

Since we broke up i've hooked up a few times, but I've been majorly smashed at the time, so I couldn't tell you how exactly managed it.

I've been in exactly the same situation. It gets better as the women start to figure out that the assholes are only good for one thing, and not especialy good at that.

This takes seven or eight years.

I'm 22 and I'm the same way in that I can't bring myself to act like a piece of shit to try to impress girls. Often, I see the lunkhead jocks or some other asswipe getting all the chicks. It used to bother me when I was your age, but now I realize that you just have to be true to yourself. Don't be afraid to speak your mind. It's not that hard once you realize and accept that more often than not nobody will give a shit because they only care about their own opinion. It's just the way the world is, but if you don't let your voice be heard, then nobody will know you're even there. Don't let things bother you and after a while, you will build up your confidence and then people will pay attention to you. The less you seem to want other people's attention, the more they want yours.

I'm speaking from experience. I was a hardcore nerd up until highschool. Then I was the guy in that shadows that everyone knew somehow that could get anything you wanted for a price (but I was still not very popular or respected, just a well known shadow). Now when I speak, people listen. I'm still chronically single though, because I still am very picky. When I feel like it though, all it takes is a smile.

What I'm trying to say is just be yourself and throw in some confidence and everything will turn out fine. Confidence is the key to everything. It roughly means "True Self".

Think of it as an experiment. Let me know how it turns out. It will take a while for the change to occur because people that know you already think they have you figured out. Don't give up.
