How much did you guys out there end up spending on the fems? Ive been seeing her for just under a year. She really gets into the whole christmas thing, unlike me. I'd really like to get her a nice piece of jewellery or something, but Im in such a tight financial situation right now. She's 20 yrs, and Im two younger. I just don't want to leave her thinking - "Ok...that's it?"

If you're on a tight budget, I think she'd understand if the gift isn't really expensive. You could always do something cheap but nice, like buy her something that you think would remind her of the first time you two met.

Although I aint been with my girlfriend too long, I've got a part time job and and earning nice money. Plus we've clicked so well its unbelievable. I've spent £45... although thats on only one thing - The OC series 1 box set. talk about pricey!!!! But its worth it in my book like.

I've spent a bit over £70 on my boyfriend. Part of it is slightly practical too so it's not like I spent £70 on sweets and novelty condoms or other random crap that will never be seen again.

Ugh!!! If you don't know how much you should spend, what you should buy, and are trying to do it to impress a girl...that seems a waste to me.

Personally, I really dislike holiday gift exchanges because they seem so obligitory. I prefer to only buy gifts for children for christmas.

Now impromptu gifts for people. I like to do that. Buying someone something that you know they will like...just because....I like doing that....very much. And it's something that requires that you know someone quite well.
