how do you know when you love somebody? how do you know your not just realy physicaly attracted to a person but you feel like you love them? how do you know if somone loves you? how do you know if "love" actualy exists?

This si really going to frustrate you, but; you just know. I mean, you can't explain it. It's when you cant go more than an hour without thinking about what they are doing. You would give anything just to see them smile. You would take a knife to your heart, if that meant they didn't have to endure any pain. IF that person left you, you would never date/love again. That's what I perceive love as.

To answer that question, you have to know what the opposite of love is...it is not hate either. The opposite of love is disinterest. A liking or "affinity" for something or someone is love, ...it is very simple, but hard to explain. There have been too many threads about this...

We can go for lifetimes on this subject and still not come to a conclusive answer. Is it merely dopamine flooding your central nervous system? Is it all the sweet things you hear about in poems? Is it making yourself a martyr to your beloved?

Just like we could go for lifetimes on the subject of what is life? what is knowledge?

for me, when I saw her smile, my heart felt like it was going to explode.

Love is when you’re dating a person, and they end up looking like the burn victim, but you still love them the same as you did before. Even though she looks like a monster, you feel no different about it. Love is when you would do anything to make a person happy, anything, even cut off your balls for them. You can’t explain love, you just have to experience it.

When im around someone i like really love i get all light-headed and like a quick high feeling...Like a mix of xanax/and weed like where everything like seems differant.It only last like a second though.I dont know if anyone else gets like that.

Hmmmm, love is... even after someone has done their absolute worst to you, you still find yourself 'in love' with who they once were.

Love is, complete acceptance of terms, finding that everything you could ever need is right there in your arms, and anything else is second best.

Love does not exist in itself...it is an inner force, not an outer force...but, there is an attempt at expressing that desire to love thru actions that one believes are loving.

Atleast that's what I consider love...but it's rather subjective. Love is whatever is required for your body to produce the right chemicals; this varies from person to person, which is why nobody comes up on a truly conclusive answer.

I'm in the same boat. But I'm not crying. Fuck love; few people ever find true, undying love for a person that feels the exact same way about them. Most people stumble through life either: never finding someone they are madly in love with, so they settle with what they can get OR find someone who accepts them and fall in love with what they want that person to be, not what that person actually is. Love hurts alot more people than it helps.
