What should I do
Okay, this may sound a little out of the ordinary, but this is what happened. My mom works at a Middle School, and she is best friends with my, so far, favorite teacher. They share alot of stories about stupid shit they have done and their kids have done, so she knows almost everything that has happened to me including drama at school, stupid shit I have done, and embarassing things. Well, this other kid in my grade goes to her when he has problems and needs to vent. He told her that his ex-girlfriend used him and made him do stuff that he wasn't ready for or just didnt want to do. He also said that all the other girls in 10th grade are too immature and unattractive by the things they do (most of you can figure it out). Well, the shocking thing I found out was that she said "I know a girl in your grade that is going through the same thing with the same problems, but you're to blind to see how pretty she really is because of all the rumors and barriers she puts up to protect herself. Well, he said he agreed when she told him it was me, and ever since then, hes been really paying more attention to me. He pays attention to the way I dress, what I am interested in (music, sports, concerts, movies, etc) and it's really starting to freak me out because he is someone that would usually never talk to me unless it was a "Hi" or something drastic, being that hes not someone I particularly go out of my way to hang out with. I am having second thoughts though. What if he's trying to get to know me for a relationship? Would it work out? and the normal questions you ask yourself when you are considering someone. My question to you though is, what do you think he's trying to do? I don't want to over think this situation like I usually do to others, but if you read it all and you're not going to post something like "too long, didn't read", then I would like to hear your comments. Thanks

Re: What should I do
Oof. 10th grade? The best advice I can give you is that at your age, don't listen to other people's advice.
If this is the first boy who you think might be interested in a relationship with you, then just let things play out naturally. So much unnecessary drama could have been avoided when I was in high school if only people didn't think that what happened with one couple should be the standard for their relationship, vice versa, etc.
I have no idea why he's suddenly interested, hell, at that age, HE probably has no idea why he's suddenly interested. If a week from now he's still acting the same way, consider him a friend. Go from there. Don't automatically consider him a "boyfriend" if in a week or two you end up hooking up or holding hands or going on a date. This will lead to disappointment. If he truly is interested in you, after he takes enough time to get to know you and feel comfortable around you, he'll probably voice his intentions clearly.

Re: What should I do
I think he just got a suggestion on someone he can trust in a relationship. He obviously just got his heart broken and lost a lot with his ex, maybe he looks to you as a pure girl because of what the teacher says and it takes the guessing out, because a girl to treat him correct is kinda what he really needs.
I dunno though, best advice I can give. Any facts it doesn't fit with that I don't know of tell me, then I can try again.

Re: What should I do
Tell him everything you have been thinking and everything you did, and it won't sound weird.

Re: What should I do
He is probably interested in you. Maybe he just didn't notice you as much before. The same thing happended to me(the part about him noticing you) Like theres this girl Erika she lives just down the street and ive always thought she was ok and all and never really paid attention to her. Then she asked my mom for help sewing a dress and my mom one day while I was on the computer was like "you know erika is pretty cute, blah blah blah" and "erika was always asking about you when I went over to help her blah blah blah" and like after she said that I got to thinking. I realized that this Erika chick was actually pretty damn hot and not only that but right down the street. Well yea so next time she came over to get help I hit on her some and talked it up a bit and yea. Nothing really happend because we didn't talk much after that because she had a play and all and then I found some differnt girls that caught my attention and now have a gf. But the point is that the guy probably is interested in going out with you, he probably didn't notice you before(not that it means theres something wrong with you or anything) and the person just made him notice you and realize he likes you. Just go with it and things will work out, if he wants to date you he will ask you out if not then well he won't ask.

If you become friends with him, keep in mind that you might date. That way it won't be so shocking when you forget about all of the dating and he asks you out.
