I don't know if this has already been said but what the fuck.

The reason everything felt so real was because you where dreaming. if you consentrate for a second, and you imagion someone pinching your arm, you will be able to slightly feel it. A dream is just a really deep thought, which is not distracted by average sound, movment, etc. therefor making it easier to consentrate, making things seem more realistic.
