If you've found someone you really want to spend the rest of your life with, that "piece of paper" is at least important in the event of a sudden hospitalization or an unexpected, intestate death. And to avoid a lot of hassle if you have children.

From the amount of people I have spoken to, yes it is worth it.

Statistics show that the average married man is less stressed and overall healthier than the single male , and married women are more stressed and not as healthy as single women ! fact !

that isnt even a question that has an answer, right now i feel like i could spend the rest of my life with my current g/f, we have the same goals in life along the lines of family and career and stuff like that..i mean that is a question that really doesnt have an answer, if u find someone and are totally compatible it doesnt matter wether u are married, who cares it is just a piece of paper, one day it will get done sure but it doesnt matter, u just wanna be with the person

one of my friends is 18, and he's been married to this chick from iraq for about a month, i think he's a moron. All they do is fight and they both still live with their parents as far as i know. they just alternate between which house they live in. it's rediculous. Oh yeah, neither of them have a high scool diploma either

IMHO getting married is only worth it if you and your gf are mature enough to handle the added responsibility. Stability is also an issue, if you are like me and move every year/other year you probably shouldn't get married until that stops.
