Default Avoiding conversation gaps

When I am trying to "holler" , the conversation basically has me asking something, then a pause after she answers, then me thinking of something to ask, then another pause...it's really annoying, and unless the girl adds to the conversation, it's fucking hard as hell to talk.

yeah, um, if the conversation does not flow and you have to put effort into it then just give up. its painful for both parties.

I think he's just lookin' for a piece of ass...

EDIT: If you're at a bar and you haven't gotten drinks yet, think of shit on the way to the actual bar, like where they serve the drinks and then if you already have your drink, you could always just think while taking a drink.

When there's a lull in the conversation, I usually ask if the other person has ever been in a fist fight. That almost always starts a new conversation.
