I wanna know, by whatever parameters you put on it, what makes a good relationship?

In whatever opinion you want to use, what would you define as a good or great relationship?

Have you ever been in or seen someone in an amazing relationship?

I have a spectacular relationship with my girlfriend, but I've never been in a relationship before her, and the only examples I have ever see are friends, parents, and what’s on TV.

So by the standard of everything around me, I have an awesome relationship with my girl, but I want to know if there is some higher plane to it. What’s better than what I consider "the best"?

I've seen some shitty relationships (Steve..) and some good ones, and I want to know what do you believe makes an amazing one?

Proper balance:

-in dominance/submissiveness must be attained for a healthy and fufilling relationship. This varies widely in individuals, of course.

-in the bedroom. Sex is a big (can vary) part of a relationship whether it is being had or not. Having one partner not satisfied, or worse, both, can imbalance the relationship and cause issues.

-in boundaries. Different strokes for different folks. You can't expect your partner to change into whatever the hell you want. This varies from drugs to not kissing in public.

One thing that I have realized over time is the necessity to be able to leave the relationship if it is not working, although that's more of an individual thing.

In my opinion,

A good long term relationship is also one where you both learn from eachothers good points and become cooler people.

Also short term or long term,The best relationships ive had were where the my girlfriend absolutely craved to fuck me and only me, it made me feel pretty good.

I treated them well,they fed my ego/pride or whatever it is.

Also being able to say whatever you or her think of and it being appreciated in some way by eachother, it shows you suit eachother with out trying to.
