That's nuts. A few lamps in the right places and a $500 DV camera - and you're all set. ANy real expense might be in getting it edited.

No, any real expense is getting it copied and distributed. I've said this before and I'll say it again: making any kind of film without a solid distribution plan/deal is going to be nothing more than an expensive hobby. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
