Why is it that women like to be abused? I am not talking about getting physically assaulted but it seems like girls can’t handle a nice guy they need a guy to make fun of them a little, tease a little and then be all sweet.

Is it my age (18) where all the girls are just immature and don’t go for a nice guy. I don’t know its not like I go for insecure women I go for good looking girls and I much rather be nice to them treat them well say nice things. But I have learned my lesson the more you do that the more your “just a friend.” But when I tease a girl make fun of her a little say stupid shit then say something nice I can see that they respond to that better.

I was wondering what you guys, and girls, think about this. Because its happened to me and I see it all the time my friend is an asshole to girls he gets more pussy then anyone else.

It’s like I have to try to be a jack ass to get some or even to get a girl to respond to me.

Weather a girl likes you all depends on how much of a dick you can be why?

Maybe it sends out the message, "I don't need you, but I want you". Seems like a pretty confident message to me.

Girls like guys who are jerks, but when it comes down to it they're a nice guy. Thats how I am, I wasn't always like this. I used to be all nice and no ass. Now I'm just an ass, with a little bit of nice.

The fact is there are different types of women with different needs and wants. Most women don't want someone they can walk all over, but don't want someone that beats them with a clothes hanger either... something in between. In control but not totally impervious to their feelings, much of the time those 'feelings' being undefined.

Nice guys are going to get nice girls, with a future of nice things, like a nice house with a nice white picket fence... a nice little barking dog, nice paycheck and pension with a nice, albeit very bored/boring wifey who probably will be cheating on her nice husband with the nice mailman.

If you tuck your balls between your legs you're likely to get the same results you are experiencing with (whoever prompted you to make this thread). Kinda helps all the girls I have ever met prompted me to make this thread cause they all like it when I am a jack ass and honestly I dont like being one. Later in the relationship everything turns all nice but in the beggining where you have to be a jack ass.

Funny thing is in other countries(i live in us) its diffrent girls like the nice guys its like american women enjoy the abuse. I wanna her something from the women what they have to say about it.

My theory is that women become self loathing because of the media (and by extensions, society)'s portrayal of what is "beautiful"

Or maybe they go mad from all the bloodloss each month. I dunno. I have no experience with women, and base my idea's completely on what I have seen on tv sitcoms.

To be relevant to the topic, if the girl likes how the guy treats her, is it really abuse? I'm a "nice guy" and I've been raised/influence to seek a boring and nice woman, but I don't think that jerks are these unholy woman stealers that should burn in hell. To me, they're like Minesweeper. They plop down and raise these red flags, and tell me which woman sleeps around and has a nice petri dish amount of STDs. I don't like date rapists and rapists though. Those are jerks/nice guys gone out of whack. They reduce the trust level of women in the area slightly and make it harder for nice guys to initially get to the "more than friend" stage.

Guys are supposed to go for girls they cant have, "you always want what you cant have" so maybe its the same the other way round, the girls dont think they can have your mate, so they want him more

No normal non-pussy-bitch guy acts nice all the time. Guys aren't nice to their guy friends. It seems artificial (because it is) when guys are overly nice to girls. We don't like it (even as friends [the friend thing is a lie]) when we have some guy acting fake as hell to try to be with us.

This isn't rocket science, so why do we still have a minimum of 5 threads per week on this subject?

To elaborate: nice is boring. If you go for nice, you must have no sense of humor. Comedy is offensive, and it's usually at someone's expense. If you're a nice guy, you're not sitting around with me making fun of fat people. If you're nice, you tell me how beautiful I am when I say that I'm fat. If you're normal and not a pussy, and you actually have a sense of humor, you go on and on about what a huge fucking cow I am. Or you could do a number of other things because you're not set on the one way of doing things. Nice is pretty much a set thing. You respond in a certain predictable way to any given situation because this is the "nice" way. How the hell do I even talk to you if you're nice? What do we say? If I tell you that a band you like sucks, do you just agree with me because that's the nice thing to do? You couldn't argue because that would be being a "jackass".

I disagree Glitter. My husband is the sweetest man I know. Your typical "nice guy." He's also one of the funniest men I know. My brother in law: wonderful, nice, respectful, and you WILL laugh if he's within a hundred yards. He's fucking hilarious. My father: incredibly smart, incredibly funny, incredibly respectful.

Being an asshole DOES NOT equal being funny. I know plenty of nice men with wonderful senses of humor. And yeah, all people are mean sometimes. It's human nature. But there's a difference between having a bad day, and being the guy that scartissue was describing. I've known assholes. I've dated assholes. I outgrew assholes.

To answer you question scartissue: I think that most women go through a phase of uncertainty, and the assholes appeal to us, because they make us feel better about ourselves.

"OMG! This guy is like, a total dick! And he likes me! OMG!"

That kind of thing.

But don't worry. Most of us eventually grow out of it. You just need to find a mature girl.
