Don't commit to a chick (your girlfriend) you're not head over heels for. You say she's "nothing" compared to this other girl. That's a pretty bitchy thing to say about your girlfriend. Why bother to make a sacrifice for someone you don't care about a lot?

My advice is wait. Maybe break up with your girlfriend now (as it seems like you don't like her that much anyway) so it's not horribly painful for her when it's obvious you are leaving her to be with this other girl. So break up with your girlfriend, and then wait for your friend and his girlfriend to break up. It's bound to happen eventually, especially if she's thinking about you more than her boyfriend. So the sequence of events: You break up with your girlfriend. Wait. Other couple breaks up. Wait. Ask friend if it's okay with him if you see this girl. If he says yes, go out with her. If he says no, well, he's immature and maybe needs a bit more time. Ultimately, you'll see her, but you may need to wait. But if she's as amazing as you say she is, you can do that. But don't sabotage their relationship- that's a really hideous thing to do. It may also turn her off of you, and if your friend finds out, that friendship is doomed.
