does sexual history matter?
for some reason, every girlfriend i get, i ask a lot of questions about thier past sex life. i usually go through sexual things(head, fingering, sex, ect.) and ask for numbers. is this weird? is this creepy? does it really matter?

Re: does sexual history matter?
Thats a good thing to do. I would want to know if my girlfriend was ever raped without a condom or had sex with a manwhore. Girls are not straight out with things. They may say they are a virgin when they really arn't. But I just have a 10 minute conversaton with the girl and if she brings up the words, fuck, sex, blowjob, pussy, dick etc. that relates to sex, you know you don't want this girl and she may have something you don't want.

Re: does sexual history matter?
Yes it matters. I doo the same thing except try to bring it up subtey and ask vague questions like how many boyfreinds have you had... they will tell you more and it doesn't have to look like your prying..
BUT WOMEN SUCK>

Re: does sexual history matter?
If you like her tell her to NEVER EVER BRING UP HER SEXUAL HISTORY. IT DOES MATTER, and if you know things you dont want to it WILL drive you insane and want to kill someone or yourself. Or youll just make an ass of yourself to her, but at that point you dont really care anyway. For some reason I'm very picky about what girls I date, and most of the time it's because of there sexual history.. I like virgins. (Even though I'm not one myself... Its kinda hipocritic, but o well.)

Re: does sexual history matter?
If you get a girl and you find something about her sexual history in the first few months you're a lucky bastard. I've been with the same girl for over a year and a half and i still hear different stories about her sexual history that i didn't know. FeaRSeL was exactly right, it will drive you insane, but only whenever you think about it. If I think about my girlfriend's history now, after a year and a half, it will make me uncontrollably angry. It's a bit lucky i've been drinking and she's on holiday really. This is a serious subject for some people, for others it's nothing (usually women think of it as nothing, as they've done more younger).
SBTlauien, no matter how much anyone flames you, I am the same, I feel the same and if they don't feel the same then fuck them, they simply don't understand.
Cheers,
Lew

Re: does sexual history matter?
You have a responsibility to ask about previous partners. When you sleep with her, you're sleeping with every person she has ever slept with.
I am very open with my boyfriends about my past. No question is too "prying" or embarassing. If they ask, I'll answer. That's communication. By opening myself up, hopefully, if they hear an answer they're concerned about, they'll open up to me and speak their mind. That way, any issues can be resolved in THAT conversation.
I'm the kind of person who wants to know. I'll want details, emotions he was feeling at the time, places, all of it. It stings a little bit but I'm the type that shares EVERYTHING with my partner.
I wouldn't reccommend asking if you think it'll start a fight. You can't get angry at someone for their past, it's not fair. Chances are, they've already dealt with the consequences of their actions and have moved on. They're with you now. Until you can handle the truth in a rational manner, don't ask questions!

That was the most true and real thing i've ever read, but still (for me) it doesn't work like that. For someone as jealous, insecure and ultimately irrational as me, it bares no relavance.
Sexual history can be irritating, but it's got to be dealt with somehow or another. Listen to these peeps, they seem to know their shit.
EDIT: Stupid mistakes.

Re: does sexual history matter?
i used to get pissed about my exes sexual past. to the point that it was off limits. ultimatly, i realized it was jealousy. i was jealous of all the fun theyd had. and i felt cheated that i was with them. i learned about all the one night stands and was like, why do i have to date you to get some and they didnt? it twisted into a hatred, i felt they liked them more than me.
then i realized i couldnt be like that. how could i judge them on something i wanted? and i got over the fact tht theyd have me beat on numbers. you simply cannot compete fellas.
im coming up on 20 myself, which isnt bad. and over the years ive hardened to sex. i prefer fistfights myself, much more satisfying in alot of ways. a fight is infinatly more complex emotionally.
so, now i ask. about the sluttiet things theyve done, 3sums and all that. they feel i wont judge, while im getting turned the whole time.
but on another note: you can tell alot about a person from that. unbalanced ppl give away signs unknowingly.

No point in me replying because this is exactly what I was going to say.
Although, one difference is I sorta get turned on by hearing about my partner's past experiences, and I also get the urge to out-perform their ex's.

Jealousy or not, it's a great, impossible to answer question. Perfect for when she's got you on the ropes.

Re: does sexual history matter?
I always ask, because I'm curious.
What have you done, with how many guys? etc. etc. Just curiosity I suppose.

Re: does sexual history matter?
it's not like im asking her and then getting pissed at her answers. im just getting to know her and what she is like. if i found out that she had a lot of one night stands, it would lower my opinion of her. i just want to know, so that i know that im with a good girl and not some girl that thinks that sex is just something that everyone does with everyone else. basically, im just making sure that im not with a slut. and i was satisfied with the answers i got.
thanks everyone.

Re: does sexual history matter?
Usually girls ask questions because they want to know if you have any STD's. This is just a smart thing to ask about. If you don't and tell them so but they still go on their probably just curious/jealous of your past relationships/sexual history.
