You all know that breaking up with someone is difficult, especailly if you are aware they have strong feelings for you. It's hard to watch their face fall.

I am honest with them, I explain to them why I don't think it works out,etc, but it's still one of the hardest things to do.

She just might not have the balls to be like "you suck we're over" but the "taking a break" line, when she doesnt mean it, is cheap and gives false hope that ends up fucking with the person later on.

Just call her up and say you can't do it (hang out, that is). I'm guessing you don't want to be friends with her, so don't settle with that.
